Are you planning your trip to London this Spring or Summer? You’re in the perfect place! I’ve been living in London for a while now, so I thought it’s about time to make a round-up of my favourite places to visit around the English capital 🇬🇧 If you’re also those perfect Instagram shots, keep on reading because this is just the ultimate guide on the best places in London in 2019!
Greenwich & Greenwich Market
Greenwich is not quite in London, but it’s really close by. The place has an unique vibe of its own and guaranteed you can spend 3 or 4 hours there. Get to Greenwich by a Flipper (London’s water bus) and enjoy all the beautiful views of London on your way! You’ll have such an amazing time as there are lots of fun things to do, from exploring the museums, having a picnic in Greenwich Park and eating delicious food at the Greenwich Market. Definitely a half day well spent!
Kintan Japanese BBQ Restaurant
If you’re a meat lover, then stop by Kintan Japanese BBQ for lunch and cook your own food! The meat comes prepared in different Japanese sauces just ready for you to enjoy. The meat is so tender and you can choose from beef to pork, chicken, squid, lamb and many others! The main courses come with sticky rice which is so delicious even on its own. They also serve veggies and an amazing hot dessert called S’mores – you have to cook this too which is adding to the excitement. It’s such an unique experience and believe it or not, you won’t break the bank by having a meal here.
The Queen’s Theatre
If you’re passionate about theatre, then book your tickets to watch a West End Show at the Queen’s Theatre. I had the opportunity to watch Les Miserables and I have to say it was a cultural life changing experience! The quality of the performance, the stage costumes and the stage decor was second to none. If you visit London, you can’t miss an outstanding performance at the theatre. Prepare for tears to roll!
Madison Terrace Bar & Lounge
Enjoying fancy rooftops? Me too! Madison Terrace Bar & Lounge had to be in my guide of Best Places in London because the views you get from there are just stunning. Bonus, you can even wait for the golden hour and take some amazing photos on the terrace. Expect it to be a little bit busy during this time of year, but if you arrive there at around 3pm you should be able to get a table in 20 minutes. Enjoy a glass of Moët and forget about your tired legs!
Tower Bridge Area & Sparkling Afternoon Tea
After your champagne on the terrace, what do you think about an English afternoon tea with direct views on the Tower Bridge? It doesn’t get more English than that! Book your afternoon tea experience at the Tower Hotel and expect loads of delicious cakes and sandwiches. Go for the sparkling afternoon tea and add a glass of Prosecco. It’s also your chance to try some Scones – the traditional British dessert that goes so well with the sparking wine. Then, you can have an evening walk in the Tower Bridge area on the river Thames.
I hope you’re even more excited to visit London now! If you don’t have the time to do everything included in my Best Places in London guide, pick at least one place because trust me you will have an absolute blast.
