I can’t stress enough how much meditation has helped me become a better person, to be calmer and see things from another perspective. In other words, it makes you be at peace with yourself, helps with clearing your mind and aids with thinking more objectively. But, what is meditation and which are its origins?

About meditation and its origins

When meditation is mastered, the mind is unwavering like the flame of a candle in a windless place.

I find it very interesting how a technique used in the 5th millennium BC is still popular in our day and age. Meditation has ties in ancient Egypt and China. It’s believed that it’s originally from India and throughout the years, neighbourhood countries adopted it.

However, even if specialists can state that meditation began thousands of years ago, the exact date is still uncertain. Imagine that even greek philosophers used to practice meditation in order to improve their philosophical life.

In the past, men and women used to believe they gained wisdom by meditating. Which is actually quite true! During the time when Buddha expanded meditation throughout India, 3 ways of meditation began well known and used.

Jain meditation in India – this type of meditation involves your mantra and thinking deeply about the three pedestals of thinking: focusing your attention on the right faith, knowledge and conduct.

Taoist meditation in China – this practice accentuates on the union with nature and on your inner self.

Confucian meditation in China – in order to engage in this type of meditation you don’t have to stop your thoughts, just to redirect your focus on grasping discipline in your current state.

Let’s take a look at the benefits of meditation now!

1. Meditation keeps the doctor away?

Well, not really, but this practice really improves your health. Meditation is known for lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Therefore, it really does a great job in strengthening your immune system.

Keep your mind and body healthy in order to reach success! In order to make your dreams come true, you’ll have to focus on your physical and mental well-being.

2. Focus and concentration for personal growth

Practicing meditation will help you develop your capacity of focus and concentration. During every session, you’ll have to clear your mind completely and concentrate on your inner self. Therefore, after meditation becomes part of your routine, these skills of yours (focus and concentration) will increase significantly.

3. Be confident and grow beautifully

If you meditate, you will also feel more confident. Confident in yourself and that things will work out exactly how you want them to. I believe everyone knows how important confidence really is these days. Reaching success can be easier if you have this trait in your back pocket. So, make the most out of it!

After you start meditating you will see how much self trust and respect you’ve gained. You will learn how to follow your own intuition and how to achieve your goals.

4. Becoming stress-free

Considering how much you have to focus on clearing your mind and relaxing your body if you are in a meditation state, we can all approve that this practice also reduces stress. If you learn how to control your mind and how to get rid of the unwanted thoughts, you can instantly reduce the level of stress you’re confronting with in a day.

If you want to use your full potential, you’ll have to be relaxed and to stop overthinking things.

5. A creativity boost

If you focus your mind on the positive aspects of life and you meditate weekly in order to maintain your personal growth journey, your creativity will increase on the way. It is normal for you to be much more motivated and creative if your mental state is a good one.

Your mind will be able to think further and to gain much more power, which is just amazing.

It’s wonderful to see how many great things you can achieve if you start to practice meditation. Actually, I believe that if you’re on your road to success and you are keen on achieving your goals, meditation will be your best friend. Why? You might ask. The answer is quite simple. Everyone needs an escape from reality. A place where they can stop stressing so much and where they can focus on themselves only. Isn’t it great that we’ve found this place inside our own minds?

If you can learn how to control your mind, body and soul, the power you’ll hold over your life will be amazing. Create a life you love, because I know you deserve it bestie!

Women empowerment has been on my lips so much recently. I truly want to empower you all lovely women to become the best version of yourselves. Therefore, here I am with another inspiring article on how to stay motivated during Summer. It’s quite hard to focus on your goals when the weather is so inviting, your friends are always hanging out and you just can’t feel like working. However, there are tasks that need to be done and no one will help you achieve your goals besides yourself.

Of course it’s hard, but if you want to reach success you’ll have to set your priorities straight and work on your time management. Enjoy every second of spare time and work as hard as in every other season. You can do it! It gets easier with time, trust me.

If you want to learn 5 tips on how to stay motivated during Summer right NOW continue reading and follow the steps below:

1. Time management

No one said you can’t take breaks. Actually, breaks are also very productive and will help you increase your level of performance. However, you can’t live from break to break. Make up a clear schedule on how you want your days to look like and stick to it. For example:

– Wake up early and work from 8:00am to 12:00pm. After that, you can enjoy a lunch break at your favourite restaurant. If you don’t fancy going on your own, invite one of your friends or your significant other.

– Then you can work from 2pm to 4pm and have a short coffee break at the end of the session.

– Then, do the last tasks from 5pm to 7pm, and now you have your evening free. Not only you’ve worked 8 hours without realising, but you’ve also finished your tasks in time in order to enjoy the rest of the day. You can head to the city, relax, take a walk, do literally anything you want. Moreover, given the high temperatures in Summer, you can’t even go outside before 6pm if you’re not heading to the pool.

2. Change your work space

If you have to work on a project and the weather is way too inviting, don’t stay inside. Change the atmosphere and romanticise your life! Set up a nice and quiet place outside and leave the desk behind. You’ll do two things at once. Moreover, your dose of creativity will increase because you’re feeling happier and your project can have a more successful result. If you feel like you’re stuck inside, go outside! Do everything you can to be as productive as possible. Reach your full potential!

3. Reward yourself!

After a hard day of work, reward yourself! You should never forget to thank yourself for all of the hard work you’ve done in order to achieve your dreams. You can reward yourself with your favourite food, with wine, a day at the spa or even a night out. It’s completely up to you but it’s also necessary. You are a human being after all, don’t forget about the simple pleasures in life. They are as much as important as achieving your goals.

4. Surround yourself with positive people

The environment you’re living in has a great effect on your motivation. Surround yourself with people who care about you and your well-being. This way, if they know you have work to do, they won’t pressure you in delaying your schedule just to hang out. Also, if the people around you have also similar priorities, you’ll be able to motivate each other. This step is all about women empowerment. You’ll have to empower the ladies around you to go after their dreams. All of you can hang out during the weekends or during your days off. If you know how to arrange your schedule, you’ll have time for anything.

5. Love yourself

In order to respect your work and your journey, you’ll first have to love yourself. As I said many times before, YOU are unique in this world. Moreover, you should be your no. 1 priority. Learn how to love yourself with simple exercises such as: writing down five things you love about yourself everyday. You will help your brain realise how great you really are. Also, another practical thing would be to read a few women empowerment quotes every day in the morning. Start your day fresh and confident. Don’t let yourself down and start achieving those goals.

6. Hobbies and passions

It’s proven that hobbies and passions will increase your creativity and your desire to start achieving your goals. Therefore, if painting relaxes you and helps you with your imagination, do it! You should do it as often as you can. It’s so important to make time for our passions. At the end of the day you’ll be much more relaxed and ready to work hard.

I absolutely love promoting women empowerment on my blogs. Therefore, if public speaking tips is what you need now, this is the right article for you!

Standing tall in front of a crowd and holding a speech can get really emotional. It’s hard to maintain the correct position and to nail all of your lines. However, I am here to teach you how to improve your public speaking NOW!

I’ve been put in a position where I had to speak in front of multiple people. I know how hard it can get. Everyone seems to analyse and critique your every move. Also, emotions can easily get in the way. But I’m 100% sure you can do it! It might take a few practice sessions before you head to the scene, but in the end, if you follow these steps you’ll do amazing.

1. Plan your speech

Planning my speech is literally my favourite part before heading to the meeting. You should firstly know your audience in order to know what is the tone of voice you’ll be using. For example, if there’s a small meeting with your colleagues, you can keep it casual. Moreover, you can add a few subtle jokes from here and there. But, if the meeting is important, you should keep a formal tone of voice and treat your speech seriously.

You can also pay attention to the length, you don’t want to bore anyone after all!

And most importantly, don’t forget to start your speech powerful!

2. Practice makes it perfect

Excellence is not an art. It is the habit of practice.

If you want to nail it, you’ll have to practice over and over again. A nice exercise that can make practicing a little funnier is to pretend there’s an audience in front of you and to read your speech out loud. You can even dress up in order to trick your brain into thinking it’s real. However, if you feel like this exercise isn’t working out for you, I have another one! Go find a mirror and read it to yourself! Don’t be embarrassed and get rid of all of the emotions.

While you’re practicing you’ll have to use the same gestures you’ll like to use on the stage. Maybe you can walk a bit, use hand gestures in order to make your speech powerful and don’t forget about facial expressions! You’ll have to work on all of these things!

3. Feedback is always a good idea

After you’ve practiced alone, there’s time for you to start holding your speech in front of some real people. Ask one or two of your friends or family members to help you. Hold your presentation in front of them and at the end ask for their opinion. Don’t forget that negative feedback is also very helpful. Not only this exercise will help you get rid of a few emotions, but it’ll also help you improve your technique. Listen to your loved one’s pieces of advice and track your progress! A little women empowerment is always welcomed after all!

4. Notes can get in the way?!

Many people tend to bury their heads in the notes while they are holding the presentation. In order for this public speaking event to work out great you’ll have to make a connection with the audience. This action is impossible if you can’t make eye contact with the people who are listening to you. Moreover, your speech will seem unnatural if you read it or learn it from scratch. The best way to hold an oration is to create a conversational atmosphere between you and your public. I know it’s quite hard, but I’m also sure you’ll get there sooner or later.

5. Pause

Take your time! I’ve seen people that tend to talk really fast and lose the audience’s attention on the way. No one’s rushes you. Therefore, make sure you’re breathing correctly and taking pauses when necessary. Take your breaks strategically. For example, you can take one right after important points. This way, you can let the people make time to think about them. Let all the information sink in and begin again. Your speech will be much more professional and the people will understand your point of you better.

6. Empowerment

That’s a tip that will help you prepare before getting up on the stage. Talk with your friends or your loved ones before the presentation. Let women empowerment do its job and enjoy a boost of confidence. Sometimes, some nice words is all that you need in order to get rid of the excessive amount of emotions. The people around you will do wonders with your confidence. Therefore, you’ll get up on stage radiating happiness and success. Don’t be afraid of failure, I know you can do it!

7. Don’t be too hard on yourself

Relax. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You are living and learning. Forgive yourself and grow from the experience.

Remember that you have great things to learn from all of your experiences, therefore you should see it as another achievement. And remember that the next time is always going to be better! Don’t overthink the way your speech is going to go! Just let it be!

1. Forget the past

Maybe the past is keeping you stuck. Therefore, you’ll have to let go of it. Whatever mistake you made that keeps you up at night, it’s not worth it. You still have time to change your future. Living in the present not only brings joy and happiness for the moment, but it will also improve your future self. If a bad choice is keeping you from your happiness now, imagine how much healthier and better decisions can improve your future. Makes sense, right?

2. Fully believe in yourself

Being confident can be a challenge, but once achieved you can never go back to how you used to be. A boost of confidence will help you improve most of your skills, from social to professional ones. Even though the road to success can be paved with challenges, you’ll have to believe in yourself. A good exercise in starting to improve your confidence is looking in the mirror and repeating affirmations such as : “I am enough!”, “I am powerful”. You will start believing in them sooner than you think because guess what? You truly are enough and powerful 😉

Always remember your ‘WHY’! In order to pass this point in your life you can focus on the positive aspects of your journey. Try counterattacking every negative thought in your mind with a positive one or a beautiful memory. Being able to control your mind is key. It’s kind of impossible to succeed in life if you’re always thinking about failure. The law of attraction really works. If you’d like to try an exercise, you can write down positive affirmations on post-its and place them somewhere you can always see them. It truly helped me 🙂

4. Find your purpose

How could you ever succeed if you don’t have a well defined purpose? It’s crucial to find out what you want to achieve in life. Rearrange your thoughts and start focusing on your goals. If you find your big aspiration, it will become easier to stay motivated and keep moving forward. Once you’ve got your purpose, you can spend your time finding a successful way to achieve it.

5. It’s okay to ask for help

If you find yourself overwhelmed by the situation you shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help. Either from a professional or from your loved ones, there’s no shame in admitting you got stuck. It can happen to anyone. After you’ve started to open up, you’ll feel much more relieved.

Did anyone say Women Empowerment? I’ve written this article for all the women out there who want to improve their self-discipline and go after their GOALS!

Self-discipline is key in achieving any task, so I felt the need to share my best and most effective simple habits for you to improve it.

Firstly, there are some days when you might feel incredibly dissatisfied because you couldn’t finish even half of the chores you had planned out. And that’s OK. To be honest, we we all go through this once in a while, you just have to keep up with your greatest goals and don’t let it become a habit. Therefore, considering how important women empowerment is for me, I’m here to shout from the rooftops: YOU’VE GOT THIS, GIRL!

I truly believe that with good self-discipline you can do anything you plan in life. It’s about knowing how to control your actions, feelings and emotions and the ability to stick to your plans. An improved self discipline positively impacts your state of mind and your well-being, helping with your motivation and productivity.

I’m telling you this from my own experience, the best way to overcome your obstacles is to improve your self-discipline, and these are my best 7 habits that you definitely have to try:

1. Create an inspiring vision board

While I enjoyed a talk with my besties on how to improve women empowerment I discovered this amazing exercise. Putting your objectives wherever you can see them first thing in the morning and last thing at night can help you stay motivated and inspired to wake up and do the things you need to do to achieve your highest ambitions. You simply need to print some photographs that reflect what you want to be, achieve, and obtain, such as a car, a job, or job title. Also, sprinkle in some quotes to keep you on track 😉

2. Practice prioritisation of tasks

When you have to do some things that put you off, you should better do those things first! You’ll feel more relieved and satisfied at the end of the day, I promise you!

Planning your days and determining which tasks are worth allocating the most work to can help you be more productive and effective throughout the day and less prone to postpone things. I also love the 80-20 rule which makes you put 20% effort into something that will bring you 80% results. Organise your daily tasks by date and time on Sunday evenings – it will also help you sleep better knowing that you’ll know exactly what you have to do on a Monday morning.

3. Your diet is important!

Make sure you’re fuelled throughout the day with nutritious snacks and meals every few hours. Eating frequently aids with blood sugar control and it also boosts your concentration and decision-making abilities. In the same time, try to stay away from snacking on crisps or chocolate – they’ll make you feel more sleepy and more likely to procrastinate.

4. Embrace the ‘wrong’

Developing self-discipline requires a departure from your usual pattern, which can be frightening and strange. It will feel wrong to quit a habit and begin a fresh one. Your brain will fight the change because it is trained to do so. What’s the remedy? Accept the unfavourable. Remember that women empowerment exits and that you’ll be accredited by all your besties out there.

5. Reward your efforts

Self-discipline does not imply that your new life must be completely demanding. In fact, denying yourself empathy frequently leads to disappointments and reverting to old habits. Schedule specific breaks, snacks, and prizes for yourself while practicing self-control. Are you on a diet? Saturday can be designated as ice cream sundae day. Are you trying to lose weight? After a month of hard work and gym visits, reward yourself with a massage. Are you trying to save some money? On Sunday, treat yourself to a day at the mall. Self-discipline can be difficult. Reward yourself for your efforts!

6. Don’t get tempted

“Out of sight, out of mind.”Right?

When attempting to increase your self-discipline, removing all temptations and distractions from your environment is a critical first step. If you want to be more in control of your eating, stay away from junk food. Turn off your phone and clean up your desk if you want to boost your focus while working. Get rid of the negative influences in your life to set yourself up for success.

7. Learn how to forgive yourself

It might be difficult to adapt to a new way of life. Remember that things don’t always go as planned, not just physically, but also mentally.

You’ll experience peaks, tremendous successes and utter failures. The most important thing is to keep trying. Accept responsibility for your failure and move on. It’s easy to get caught up in feelings of guilt, rage, or irritation, but these feelings will not aid in the development or improvement of self-control.

Alternatively, see the flaws in your approach as opportunities to improve your strategy in the future. Pardon yourself and return to the game as quickly as possible. It’s more difficult to get back on track the longer you’ve been off your game.

As I mentioned previously, self-discipline is incredibly complicated and essential to cultivate and grow because it involves deciding to change various aspects of your life and getting yourself up when you stumble. You’ll surely reach your true potential with enough time, dedication, and persistence.

Therefore, the achievement of knowing how much you’ve evolved and changed over the time is incredibly satisfying.

How can books help you with your self development?

You may ask yourself this question whilst heading to my list below. Well, books are one of the oldest ways of providing and receiving information. Not only reading is a beautiful and relaxing exercise for the brain, but being able to reflect on what you’ve just read makes you better understand the concepts you’re diving into.

1. Feel the Fear and Do it Anyways, Susan Jeffers

Every time you encounter something that forces you to “handle it,” your self-esteem is raised considerably. You learn to trust that you will survive, no matter what happens. And in this way your fears are diminished immeasurably.

Susan Jeffers has seriously updated the game with this book. I remember reading this in 2018 on the Piccadilly Line whilst going to work and all I wanted was to sit there for the whole day to soak all this information in. The author teaches you how to focus on the positive aspects of life and how to control your negative thoughts and emotions. Moreover, she explained the psychology behind people’s actions in such a wonderful way. Turn passivity into assertiveness while beginning another chapter not only in the book, but also in your life! I truly believe that this book has changed my life.

2. Tools of Titans: The Tactics, Routines, and Habits of Billionaires, Icons, and World-Class Performers , Tim Ferris

The most important trick to be happy is to realize that happiness is a choice that you make and a skill that you develop. You choose to be happy, and then you work at it. It’s just like building muscles.

Tim Ferris interviewed more than 100 world-class performers and made a professional and beautiful guide of habits. The book itself presents advice in order to reach success provided by extremely successful people. Find out how routines and habits can help you accomplish your goals and start your journey of self development with Tim Ferris. This is a must have book for anyone who thrives for being better and more successful.

3. How to Be an Overnight Success, Maria Hatzistefanis

Success is about the relentless pursuit of what you want and hard work is an essential ingredient.

How to be a success overnight is one of the best books to read if you’re feeling unmotivated. The author will make you realise everything is possible and will for sure give you a boost of confidence from the first pages.

Maris Hatzistefanis (owner of Rodial) teaches us how to dream big and still achieve success. With a company built from scratch in her bedroom, she didn’t let anything come between her passion for beauty and her. She wished it, worked hard and in the end, she accomplished her goal. The book tells her story and also includes her advice in order to become a successful entrepreneur. Go ahead and make it work!

4. #GIRLBOSS , Sophia Amoruso

Abandon anything about your life and habits that might be holding you back. Learn to create your own opportunities. Know that there is no finish line; fortune favors action. Race balls-out toward the extraordinary life that you’ve always dreamed of, or still haven’t had time to dream up. And prepare to have a hell of a lot of fun along the way.

Sophia Amoruso made from her book #GIRLBOSS a guide to success. It’s all about sharing her journey to launching Nasty Gal, a fashion retailer company. She proves that being successful actually has nothing to do with how popular or liked you are, the power is in your hands!

There are so many stoic life lessons worth living by. But before going into them, I’d love introducing you to Stoicism.

Stoicism teaches how to keep calm no matter the circumstances. It makes you focus on what you can control and accept the many things you can’t actually directly control. The main idea is that your mind will never leave you, the more you can work with it and train it, the wiser & happier you’re going to become.

This philosophy reflects on enjoying all the aspects of life and living worry-free. Moreover, being able to acknowledge and be grateful for whatever life throws at you is an incredible practice. If you start living your life by stoic lessons, you will be able to always keep your head up, look and feel confident and achieve a positive mindset.

Let’s get straight to the point and find out which 10 stoic life lessons are worth living by!

1. Prepare for future failures

For by foreseeing anything that can happen as though it will happen he will soften the onslaught of all his troubles.

Seneca wrote this statement in order to explain that everyone should expect failures in life – it’s just the way life is. However, once these storms appear in your journey, you should be able to overcome them strategically to maintain your life at peace. You should be brave enough to endure the thought of failure or disappointment. If you’re well prepared for the worst, then you won’t feel like you have no choice; you’ll get to apply plan B or C. Think about it, if you already know that it’s going to rain today and decide to take an umbrella with you JUST IN CASE, you’ve already seen the worse that can happen and prepared for it. Apply this type of thinking to everyday events and you’ll live more peacefully.

2. Face your fears

He who fears death will never do anything worthy of a living man.

In this saying, Seneca brings something very powerful to our attention. He explains that a man who fears everything in life, including death will never be able to enjoy his / her presence on earth. Moreover, the ones who live in fear won’t get the chance to do something remarkable in their lives. Being able to take risks and to enjoy every moment at its highest potential will only bring you positivity, success and happiness. Face your fears and start living in order to be truly ALIVE.

3. Stop waiting

How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?

Epictetus said it better than everyone could! In life, you should know exactly how worthy you are. Therefore, why staying in the darkness, waiting for the light to come when you can demand it yourself? Only you have the power to change your life and to make it as good as possible. Only accept the best for yourself – you only have one life. If you don’t believe you truly deserve it, than why anyone would?

4. Don’t take anything for granted

You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think.

Marcus Aurelius wanted to make everyone understand that life shouldn’t be taken for granted. Maybe tomorrow you won’t have the possibility to say to that one person how much you actually love them. Maybe tomorrow you won’t get the chance to go running, to say that joke, to make a tattoo, to even say sorry. Start living your life like there is no tomorrow and enjoy every single second of it.

5. Past, present and future

Life is very short and anxious for those who forget the past, neglect the present, and fear the future.

You will never be able to enjoy your life at its fullest if you “forget the past, neglect the present and fear the future”. Why so? Well, Seneca believed that if you forget your roots and where you come from, if you don’t take responsibility of your present actions and you always live with the fear of the future you’ll not be able to be truly be alive. It is important for a human being to comprehend time at its true value. Therefore, if you don’t start realising the difference between past, present and future and you live with continuous fear, you are not living life at its fullest.

6. Life is a bumpy ride

A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials.

Through this quote Seneca wanted to explain how a man can never achieve success without having some challenges along the way. There is no such thing as a clear road ahead because life is truly a bumpy ride. Therefore, you should face every challenge with positivity and always do your best. In the end, if you work hard and don’t stop believing you will achieve the success you’re dreaming of.

7. Keep calm

If you are easily provoked you are easily controlled.

It’s true that if a person can’t keep a clam mind, they can be “easily controlled”. If you start training your mind to stay calm and find peace, you will be able to focus on the really important aspects of life. You will understand that fighting or arguing will not get you anywhere. Being able to control your emotions is a sign of strength. Work for it and in the end claim it as one of your traits.

8. If you seek change, start with yourself

Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be, be one.

Marcus Aurelius explained the importance of always starting the change with yourself. We all have a theory of what a good man should be, but action speaks louder than words. Start living as a good person today and each time you notice a negative thought entering your mind, remember your new approach to life.

9. Enjoy life till the very end

Life is a shipwreck, but we must not forget to sing in the lifeboats.

This quote by Voltaire is one of my very favourites. It reminds me how important it is to enjoy every second of my life. Seizing the day is one of the most important secrets in life. Carpe diem, right?

10. Do it for yourself

Why should we pay so much attention to what the majority thinks?

I find this quote by Socrates so resembling to the modern society we live in. You only have one life, therefore you should do what makes YOU happy, you should follow your instincts and stop paying so much attention of outside opinions. You are the captain to your ship and the road you want to follow is your choice!

These stoic life lessons represent how I’ve decided to live my life. I found peace and happiness in them and I’m forever grateful. I hope you’ve found inspiration in this article and that we are ready to seize the day together!

How to discover your true potential? Sounds quite challenging. However, at some point in your life you might ask yourself this question.

Reaching your true potential comes with great self-awareness, therefore you should first decide on the goals you want to accomplish during your lifetime. Then, it’s about finding that inner drive to reach them.

You’re unique and worthy in your own special way. Achieving your real potential becomes a must if you want to live a life you’ll be proud of.

I’ve put together some steps that you can follow in order to discover your true potential. Be optimistic and never stop believing. Continue reading and let’s start this journey together.

1. Become self-aware

It’s important for you to know your value. Knowing that no one in this whole world is YOU is a total confidence booster. Right?! Take a pen and paper and write down all of your dreams and wishes. These aspirations of yours have a lot to say about your true self. After you’ve finished, turn the paper on the other side and write down all of your traits.

Now, you can better see what you desire from life and the skills you own that can help you achieve your goals.

Also, another way to become self aware is to start meditating and practicing mindfulness. Focus on yourself and on your thoughts. If you can relax and start being aware of who you really are, discovering your true potential will be much more easier.

2. Become conscious

The second step in this whole challenge is to become conscious – you are now starting your personal growth journey. Find your motivation and all of your ambition and just START. If you decide it’s the right time to discover your true potential, nothing should make you turn around and leave this challenge for later.

You can start reading inspiring articles and books, maybe you can even listen to other people’s journeys on a podcast. I recommend ‘On Purpose’ by Jay Shetty, ‘The Gary V Audio Experience’ by Gary V, ‘Love Yourself Fiercely’ by my dear friend Kelly Rolfe. Actually, you can find your inspiration everywhere, all you have to do is to start searching for it.

3. Face your fears

You should be aware that in order to discover your true potential you should also face your fears. Exploring should be part of yourself. Don’t be afraid to join a new path or even try new things. After all, how do you know you’re not good at it if you haven’t tried it? You can try new hobbies and meet new people. All of these are part of your own personal growth and there are a lot of things you will learn from these experiences.

If you start getting to know the world around you, I am 100% sure you will also start discovering your true potential. Considering that on the way you will encounter many challenges and bumps, you will start growing even more beautifully. Don’t be afraid to explore in order to discover your true potential.

4. Find out where your true potential lies

In order to discover your true potential you’ll first have to find out where it lies within you. Many times, young people don’t get to reveal their full potential because they don’t know where to look for it. That’s why you have to explore your traits and skills as much as you can. For example, you are working in vain if you are trying to achieve your full potential in music, if your potential actually lies in your business skills.

You’ll have to research a lot in order to find this treasure called “potential” but in the end, it’s all worth it.

Don’t let yourself discouraged if you can’t find it from the first tries. No one said it’s going to be easy. All you have to do is to be ambitious and to follow the steps.

5. Don’t be afraid to follow your greatest potential after you’ve discovered it

When you finally find where your true potential lies and you start exploiting it, you will feel more accomplished, more alive and more HAPPY!

Exploiting and discovering it will not do anything but good to you and to your personal growth. Some people might probably try to discourage you. Despite their intentions, you should only listen to your heart and to the positive people around you.

Think about it this way – living your potential will make you become the best version of yourself. Don’t waste time in a career that doesn’t suit you and don’t underestimate your power to succeed. Ever!

All things considered, even if the road to success is paved with struggles, doubts and uncertainties, you should believe in yourself. You can do it! Moreover, you should get up and discover your true potential on the way!

Sometimes life is all about achieving your goals, either they are big or small. You can’t deny the importance of the things you thrive for and wish for you to happen. After all, having a set of goals also improves your motivation.

Having the ambition to set your goals and then to start accomplishing them is quite hard to find. However, this whole process is important in the development of a human being.

Did you achieve your goals in 2020? Don’t feel bad if you couldn’t. 2020 was a harsh year for everyone with lots of ups and downs, mostly downs to be fair. There’s no shame you didn’t get to achieve the goals you’ve set for the year, you aren’t the only one. After all, here comes my part in the equation. I wrote this blog in order to help you start achieving your goals and to increase your confidence. Are you ready to start working on the best version of yourself? Here’s for a new begging! 🙂

1. Set your goals straight

The first step in order to achieve your goals is to set them straight. Choose goals that inspire you and that will make a visible difference in your lifestyle. Take all the time you need and realise which are your aspirations in life. The goals you chose will define a noticeable part of yourself.

However, you shouldn’t follow the crowd and believe that what’s best for the people around you is also the best for yourself. As I repeatedly said, you are unique in this world. Therefore, you are the only one who has the power to establish what’s best for yourself.

The goals you are going to set don’t have to be big and crucial, for example if you’re not feeling quite happy at the moment one of your goals can be to increase this feeling of well-being. Therefore, one of your goals can be to start smiling more everyday. As unimportant as it might sound, the little things in life such as smiling are the ones that define our state of mind each day.

2. “Aim high, start low, celebrate and keep going”

I can hardly remember where I’ve first seen this quote, but I find it so inspirational. It is important for you to aim high. Perfection will always be unreachable, however you can always work on improving yourself. Therefore, aiming high will not only give you something to work for, but will help in developing yourself as well. Bold goals will help you reach your full potential and will make you upgrade at every step forward. That’s why I believe in them so much.

However, you have to take your journey step by step. Start from the lowest point of your goal and take it easy. You don’t want to rush things out and to feel like you’re running a marathon. There’s no competition in achieving your goals, that’s why you can take all the time that you need.

After you’ve reached your goal, don’t forget to celebrate. You made it and you deserve a good round of applause! But don’t stop there, set another goal and keep going! Actually, this is how life should work in order to always keep yourself motivated and excited for what’s about to happen next.

3. Confidence is key

Being confident is one big step in achieving your goals. After all, how could you ever make it if even you don’t trust yourself?

Maintaining a strong and positive mindset will help you a lot in your journey of achieving success. Believe it or not, you will never make it if you don’t trust your instincts and your skills. Therefore, confidence will help you throughout this ride you’ve got on. First of all, during this tangled adventure you’ll sometimes encounter bumps and without confidence you won’t be able to move forward.

A great tip I have for you in order to increase your confidence is to start reading at least one inspirational quote every morning. If you start your day with a positive mindset and you continue telling yourself you are good enough, you are going to increase your confidence for sure.

4. Set up your priorities

In order for you to achieve your goals you’ll have to set up your priorities. The hours in a day are limited and knowing how to plan your day will help you a lot in order to be successful. Therefore, you have to get rid of some unimportant tasks and to start focusing more on yourself. As harsh as it may sound, learning how to say no will also improve your time management through this journey.

For example, if a friend asks for a favour and you don’t feel like doing it, moreover if you could do something good for yourself at that moment, gracefully deny its proposal. As I said before, time is crucial in achieving your goals. During the daytime you’ll have to do your job right, spend time with your loved ones and also focus on your well-being.

Before you add something new to your schedule, first ask yourself if you have the time for your priorities, only after that you should accept the proposal!

5. Track your progress

It is important to always know how far you’ve come. In order to keep track of your progress you can start a diary where you can write down all of your completed steps, your ups and your downs. Therefore, the next time you might want to abandon your goal, first check how much you actually did. Keeping this type of diary is actually quite motivational and also inspiring for your future self. When you feel down, just take a look! I promise you’ll be so proud of yourself and of your hard work that you won’t give up!

Moreover, another benefit from tracking your progress is the feeling of happiness you’ll get once you write down another thing you successfully accomplished. So satisfying!

At first, I was a little bit sceptical about this whole concept. Many unwanted thoughts used to run through my mind everyday and I had absolutely no power over them. I mean, how could I if I was only focusing on bringing myself down?

I’ve tried many exercises to boost my productivity and to improve my state of mind. They did work to some extent but the power of creating affirmations unlocked two things that I was longing for: financial independence and freedom!

Actually, this concept is not as complicated as it might seem. All of your thoughts and perceptions are based on other people’s opinions. Mind blowing, right? Your mind has built itself taking into account everything you’ve once heard or seen. Also, the things you repeatedly told yourself are now the affirmations that run through your mind.

The great thing is that only YOU have the power to change them.

By constantly repeating some well thought affirmations, you will manifest exactly what you wish for. Remember those lyrics ‘remember what you wish for ’cause you just might get it’? That’s EXACTLY what is going to happen!

Being able to change your thoughts only leads you to living a better, more abundant life. My productivity started to rise and in a blink of an eye I was able to achieve my goals faster than I thought it was possible.

How to compose affirmations?

In order for the process to work, I usually follow some crucial steps in composing my affirmations. When you write down these phrases, you will first have to believe them. If you don’t have faith and your “wishes” are unbelievable, the power of the manifestation will never evolve.

Also, I always write my affirmations in past tense or present. ‘I loved working on this project and having achieved X, Y, Z makes me feel like I have conquered the world’.

Another important “rule” I like to follow is to use a positive language. For example, instead of saying : “I am not sick” you’ll have to write: “I am happy and healthy.”

“Creative energy surges through me and leads me to new and brilliant ideas.”

The process

How many times will I have to repeat these phrases before they start to do their magic? Oh, quite a few times 🙂 I like to write them down on colourful post-its and to stick them somewhere visible.

I repeat every single one of them for about 3 to 5 times each, once a day, usually before bed!

Are you still with me, right?

The great thing about seeing them so many times is that every time you read them, your confidence and self-esteem boost. These colourful pieces of paper bring me such a great vibe when I look at them. They even started to become a little part of who I am.

Being able to control my thoughts is one of the things I am most grateful for.

A list with affirmations you can use

Of course, it was quite hard at first to find the inspiration to create affirmations for self-esteem. As the time passed, I created a list with the phrases that worked best for me. Actually, that usually work best for everyone because they are quite generally available.

In the end, just go with the flow! What could go wrong? Start to create affirmations for self-esteem and discover a new and better version of yourself! Control your thoughts and reach success on the way! YOU are able to do anything you want to, all you have to do is to have a little faith.
