Today, I’ve prepared some well-being tips for women, as I love empowering my fellow girls who read and enjoy my articles.

Practicing gratitude is essential in order to achieve success and a positive mindset. Being able to acknowledge the little things that make your life beautiful is vital while living in our fast paced world. If you’re feeling like you’re not grateful enough for everything around you, there is a way to start paying more attention to this action. Practicing gratitude saw a boost in popularity during the past few years and has helped lots of people to get back on track.

Being grateful for your family, friends, even for waking up everyday will help you when you’re feeling down. Moreover, it will improve your motivation and productivity. You’ll get to enjoy a faster way of advancing in your personal and professional life.

Here are 5 easy steps of practicing gratitude. Continue reading for more.

1. Journaling

Journaling is a technique that you can easily find in my other posts. It’s effective, fast and easy to do. However, if you’ve never tried journaling before, you shouldn’t force your hand and take it easy.

Also, if you find it relaxing you can take your time and create a bullet journal. Make it aesthetically pleasing, this way every time you write in it will become more inspiring and pleasing.

Write down 5 things you are grateful for each morning. Your energy and inspiration will be boosted. You can write things such as : “Today I am grateful for having a job”, “I am grateful I’ve had a comfy bed to sleep in “ and so on.

Once your list is completed, just keep these 5 things in mind through the day and watch it do wonders for you.

Finding the things to be grateful isn’t hard at all, just look around and remember that everything you possess is a thing you can be grateful for. Moreover, every person that helped you and been there for you is a person you should also be grateful for.

2. Appreciate everything

Learn how to appreciate everything around you. First of all, I believe everyone in this world is surrounded by some things they should be thankful for each morning. It’s about the little things in life, not about superficiality and the obvious ones. For example: when you’re feeling down and you decide to take a walk in a park nearby, can you feel the nature? You can focus on the birds singing, the wind blowing, even on the noises of the trees. These are things you can be grateful for.

When you wake up the next day, remember how special the world you live in is.

Moreover, there are some people you can be grateful for: either your spouse or your kind neighbour. These people make your life happier and sometimes you might forget to appreciate them.

In the end, you can be grateful for how far you’ve come. You’re not being selfish if you’re acknowledging your hard work, you should even be thanking you for it. You deserve all the applauses in your head. After all, taking care of your well-being and working hard brought you this far, be grateful.

3. Thank someone

Another way of expressing your gratitude is to thank someone. Don’t let your day go without thanking at least one person. You can also include an act of kindness from time to time. It will become a reflex after some time and you’ll realise what a powerful emotion these actions can bring you.

Thanking someone will make them aware that you’re appreciating their help or their implication. Firstly, you should be grateful in your head, after that you should express it with words by thanking them.

You should be thanking people for every little thing they do to make your life happier or maybe easier. Why you might ask? Well, no one is forced to do anything. Therefore that person always had an option and chose to do a little something for you. Take that into consideration when you underestimate the little gestures people make.

Motivate yourself to become a better version and increase your awareness of how important gratitude is.

4. Thinking positive

Being able to find the positive aspects when you are in a negative situation is another one of my well-being tips for women.

Actually, this exercise will not only help you practicing gratitude, but will also help you achieve a positive mindset. As I said in the first paragraphs, gratitude also comes with a better mental health.

When you’re going through a hard time, you should always look for the better things. Every challenge that unexpectedly comes in your life is an opportunity to learn something new.

Learning to be grateful even for the bad things will help you go through life happier and much more motivated.

Moreover, you’ll become more powerful with every challenge you face. Therefore you’ll get to the point where you’ll be thankful for the experience.

Get strong and learn how important it is to maintain a positive mindset all the way.

5. Live mindfully

Live in the present. Stop worrying about the past or the future. The YOU from this time needs you. Living in the past or worrying about the future will always bring you down. Focus on what you are now and how you can improve your way of being.

You can’t change the past, but your present self can improve the future you are about to face. Therefore, next time when you’re not sure why you should ONLY live in the present, just acknowledge that this is the best way to get through life.

In the end, I hope my well-being tips for women helped you achieve the best version of yourself. THANK YOU for reading 🙂

Until next time,

Miss Andrada

How to set your meditation space might not come so natural when you’re just starting out with your practice. Think of it this way, in order to have a deep meditation session, the state of your mind in that moment is just as important as your surroundings. Today, I’m walking you through the way I am organising my own space and share with you some of my best kept secrets about having a successful meditation session. Let’s begin!

#1 Declutter your surroundings & create your meditation space

A busy space equals a busy mind. No matter what you might think right now, having a cluttered meditation space will actually negatively impact your session. Also, the more you’ll try to ignore it, the more you’ll notice it. Instead, take 15-20 minutes before you start to tidy up your surroundings. I love having a neat desk & night table when I meditate, it’s just one of those things that help me better connect with my mind. Next time you’re considering how to set up your meditation space, make sure this one is up on your list.

#2 Look for natural lighting in your room to enhance your meditation space

This one is powerful! Last Spring, whilst in my Chelsea flat, I came across Bob Proctor and his meditation practices. I was engaging in them quite often. This flat that I mentioned was a real gem for natural lighting. I remember the sun hitting my face once during visualisation. That ray of sunshine stays with me until today. It was the perfect sign for me to know that I can do whatever I envision. Since then, whenever I meditate during the morning, I ensure I get enough natural light. You should definitely try this; begin with little light until you can handle being in front of your window!

#3 Use aromatherapy to lift your mood

One of the most important things I do when I meditate is to use aromatherapy to get into a more spiritual vibe. This way, I ensure I’m offering myself every opportunity I have to make my meditation session a real success. I really enjoy using an aroma diffuser – the ones that I adore right now are by Villa Hermanos in Fig & Amber. Its fragrance makes me dream of a small villa on the Spanish coast, surrounded by pam trees and beautiful flowers. Also, it frees my mind and makes me better focus on my meditation.

Alternatively, in days when I prefer the warm light of a candle and a calm crackle sound, but still want a wonderful fragrance, I turn to my WoodWick Candle. At the moment, I’m using the Island Coconut one and trust me when I say – it smells divine. It takes me back to Punta Cana and makes me believe that everything is possible!

For wax melt lovers out there, I’ve got you covered with the WoodWick Rosewood. Who doesn’t like the smell of a fresh garden while meditating? It’s one of the most freeing scents.

Whatever your preferences are in regards to aromatherapy, on Notino, you will be sure to find your meditation scent.

#4 Adjust your body posture & find comfort

The next thing you have to consider is to adjust your body posture until you find comfort. Contrary to the popular opinion, I like to meditate in my bed – both in the morning and at night. I find that more comfortable, but others prefer a chair, sofa or their floor. Find what works for you and stick to it.

#5 Browse your favourite guided meditation sessions or guide yourself

There are so many apps you can choose from nowadays for guided meditation that with a simple search you’ll be provided with various options. I suggest you to try a few apps or videos until you find those ones that TRULY resonate with you and with what you would like to achieve.

It would be wonderful to know, how are you currently setting up your space? Is there anything you would add to my recommended things to do?

Lots of love,

Andrada

Everyone dreams of the best places to travel once the pandemic is over! Just imagine being free as a bird again, not worrying about all the restrictions we have in place right now all over Europe. Traveling is so important in order to maintain a positive state of mind. The fact that you change your environment not only does well for your well-being, but it also gives you the opportunity to explore different cultures and live differently.

Therefore, I’ve put together a list with the best places to visit once the pandemic is over. After lots of research, I’ve included places I’ve visited and recommend from the bottom of my heart, as well as places that are currently there on my bucket list waiting for me to tick them off. Let’s GO ✈️

1. Bali, Indonesia

I have to assign the first place on my list to Bali without any doubt. Bali is an Indonesian island full of mesmerising landscapes, beautiful beaches and breath taking sunsets. Besides its wonderful nature, Bali has a vast culture of religious sites that is worth exploring.

The island itself is actually well known for its mountains, wonderful beaches, coral reefs and so much more. The beauty of the island will amaze you and its many mysteries will make you thrive for more.

When to visit? The best time to visit Bali is from May to June as you’ll enjoy sunny and warm weather. Visiting Bali is so much more than just a random trip during Spring, it’s a spiritual journey. One that deserves to be taken in fully and celebrated. Personally, I cannot wait to visit at some point this year and be able to explore every corner of this beautiful island.

2. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Actually, I have just came back from Punta Cana and I had no doubt it deserved to be on this list of best places to visit. Punta Cana is a region the Dominican Republic known for its wonderful 32 kilometres stretch of beaches and clear waters. Punta Cana and its resorts will provide you the best modern beachfront living type of holiday.

During your stay, you can take boat trips in the Atlantic Ocean to explore the marine life, swim with the dolphins, visit adventure parks or swim in the beautiful ocean and get a great tan (please wear SPF 50, the sun rays are strong there).

The best period of time to visit Punta Cana is from March to May. In Summer you’ll get a more rainy weather there and it won’t be as enjoyable.

3. Mallorca, Spain

The next destination on my list of the best places to travel once the pandemic is over is Mallorca. Thanks to its sheltered coves, grand beach resorts and Roman remains, Mallorca is one of the best places to visit. It is actually the crown jewel of Spain’s many Balearic islands in the Mediterranean sea. The Spanish architecture and its beautiful coastline should make your stay dreamy.

You can chose to stay in Palma De Mallorca, the island’s capital, and let yourself amazed by the city’s vibrant nightlife and history. Or you can choose to stay on the coast like I did and get to explore more of the island’s vibe. Some places that I visited and absolutely loved: Port de Sóller, Cap de Formentor, Valldemossa. That day driving through the island will always stay in my heart.

It’s said that the best months to visit this gorgeous place are March and May, when tourists haven’t arrived on the island yet, however I visited during summer and it wasn’t too busy.

4. Transylvania, Romania

Even if Transylvania is not a tropical island or destination, its variety of landscapes and the culture will enchant you. Situated in Romania, Transylvania is best known for its medieval towns and gothic fortresses. During your visit in Romania you can discover Dracula’s legend and find out that the man behind Bram Stokers’ story is actually Vlad the Impaler – a famous Voivode of Wallachia.

Let Transylvania and its wonders transform your holiday from an ordinary one to a journey filled with magic and history everywhere you go.

5. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Bora Bora is an island located in French Polynesia surrounded by sand fringed islets and a magical turquoise lagoon. You can discover amazing landscapes and coral reefs at every step. One magical thing to do that can complete your trip to Bora Bora can be scuba diving. After spending so much time in your house, you deserve something that can rise your level of adrenaline. Moreover, once you try this extreme but totally safe sport, you will unleash a new world under the water. After all, Bora Bora is one of the best places in the world for scuba diving.

The best months to travel to this island are November and April, due to the fine temperatures.

6. Rome, Italy

When it comes to Rome I must admit that I believe everyone should visit it at least once in a lifetime. I have such a great connection to Rome due to its atmosphere and history. The architecture looks gorgeous in every single corner of the city and history literally flies in the air. Not only there are lots of activities you can try while visiting Rome, but this city will totally take your breath away. At least it did for me! For sure, Rome is one of the best places to travel once the pandemic is over.

Moreover, if you decide to visit Rome you should also take a day or two off for visiting the incredible Vatican. Have a lesson of history and religion and enjoy some of the greatest art pieces in the world.

7. Dubai, UAE

Dubai will unleash you an ultramodern journey. Known for its luxurious vibe, great architecture and a vibrant nightlife scenery, Dubai has everything you can wish for in a holiday.

However, I know it’s not always about the looks, so this city can also provide you with some incredible history that will show you the real face of Dubai. If local culture is something you’re interested in, I totally recommend visiting Al Fahidi – the historical neighbourhood. I’ve learnt so much about the city’s early days and how much crafts have contributed to its economical growth.

Whilst in Dubai, besides the beach, experience wise, you can enjoy a dessert safari in 4×4 cars (that was so much fun), scuba diving, sky diving over the Dubai Palm, yacht tours, the Fountain shows, the Burj Khalifa and getting lost in the Dubai Souks.

Visit this wonderful city from November to March for the best experience.

8. New York, USA

“Concrete jungle where dreams are made of”- is the perfect description for the wonderful New York. As Alicia Keys says, the streets will totally make you feel brand new and the lights that bring the city to life will inspire you. I believe there is no place in this world that can replicate the feeling that New York has to offer.

Even if the city itself is a work of art and every corner will unleash something new, the great museums, theatres and works of history really make New York what it is today.

Experience the American dream and enjoy a wonderful trip to the city of fantasies.

9. Machu Picchu, Peru

Machu Picchu, the 9th best place to visit on my list is located in Peru. This 15th century citadel (also named “Lost city of the Incas”) will impress you with its centuries old secrets hidden in its walls. Only the thought of how impressive the architectural design of the citadel is can bring shivers down your spine. Sounds like one of the best places to travel once the pandemic is over, right?

One of the best times you can visit Machu Picchu is from April to May.

10. Barcelona, Spain

The cosmopolitan capital of Spain, Barcelona, is actually best known for its impressive architecture and art. During your visit to Barcelona you can visit the wonderful Sagrada Familia church, the Picasso museum and many more landmarks.

Enjoy the greatness of every serene park, golden shoreline and modern art museums. Have some delicious tapas in the Gothic Quarter, hire a quad and explore the beach coast. That’s how I spent my days in Barcelona and I’ve made the best memories!

Try something new as your first trip after the pandemic is over.

In the end, I must admit that there are plenty of places to visit, but I believe these are the best ones to travel to once the pandemic is over. Which one is the best fit for you and what city you would suggest me to add on my next list?

Women empowerment is so important these days, therefore I’ve decided to share with you how to feel inspired again in 5 easy steps.

Firstly, we all have those weird days when we feel uninspired and perhaps unmotivated. You might even sit there debating whether you lost the passion you once had. Not to worry. It’s completely normal to come across ups and downs in your professional and personal life. It’s all about getting back on feeling inspired again and starting all over!

I believe that you can never really lose your spark forever, sometimes it is just a matter of time until you find yourself again. It’s important that you never lose hope and maybe start trying some simple but affective exercises to stimulate your inspiration.

To get out of your inspiration blockage, you have to find some simple ways that can improve your creativity and boost your inspiration on a daily basis. Let’s explore these today!

Break the monotony

You wake up in the morning and follow the same steps you always do. And without knowing it, you fall into a daily routine. Why can it become unhealthy?

Well, it’s proven that changing your routine can do wonders for your inspiration. Repeating the same actions every day of your life can become exhausting really fast and moreover, is extremely unproductive.

Therefore, doing something new every day can increase your level of performance and productivity. Without hesitation, you will find your inspiration in simple things that you can add in your daily schedule.

For example, reading a new and exciting book can improve your creativity. You can find inspiration in one of the characters and in their stories. Let yourself go with the flow at least 30 minutes each day.

Actually, next time you are feeling uninspired don’t just accept the situation. Chose to do something a little bit different than you usually do. Also, a change of scenery is always welcomed.

Have you ever considered undertaking a course in something you enjoy? This can be a great way to break the routine. It’s all about the things you like and would love to do. Learning a new skill can improve your happiness and well-being.

Clear your mind

Women empowerment is a strong move at the moment, as it should be and as it should stay forever. Therefore, my next advice in finding inspiration is to clear your mind of all the things us as women need to think about all the time.

Living in a 24 hour society can get overwhelming and exhausting. Little things build up over the day and can easily provoke so much stress. The cities are noisy and can make you feel like you’re always in a rush. Being motivated at work and achieving all your tasks becomes harder and harder each day. Moreover, pleasing everyone drains the energy out of you.

Therefore, clearing your mind at lest 30 minutes everyday will improve your well-being, enthusiasm and inspiration.

Relax and try writing down all of the thoughts that suffocate you. It is proven that writing down your thoughts is therapeutic. Let the past stay in the past and focus on the present, stop overthinking and overwhelming yourself with everything.

However, journaling isn’t for everyone and you can try relaxing in other different ways. Maybe you can make some time for a massage session from time to time. Heal your “wounds” and try focusing on the good in your life.

Also, you can even try meditation. Work on your spiritual self and find your happiness on the way. In the end, it doesn’t matter what you actually do as long as you relax and don’t worry at least 30 minutes everyday.

Remember why you started your journey

If you are in a low point of your professional life and you can’t find a way of continuing, here is your key answer: remember why you started.

Motivate yourself and remember why you started it in the first place. Once you realise how important it used to be back then, you might come back on the right track.

Doing a rewind of your journey will help you realise how much you’ve achieved over the time and how close you are to your goal.

Keep working to fulfil your dreams and passions.

At the end of the day, you had your purpose once you started your adventure. Find it, explore it and even upgrade it. Your inspiration can also be your old self, be your own teacher and keep moving towards the best version of yourself.

Book the ticket and go

As usually, I’m trying to encourage women empowerment as much as I can. Therefore, I am now offering you my 4th advice in finding inspiration. Book that ticket and go, even on your own!

A change of scenery as big as visiting a new place is actually an amazing way of getting that inspiration back!

You can travel somewhere with lots of history and culture. Let yourself relax and also try unleashing the taste of adventure.

Break your routine and wander throughout the streets of a new city. Learn something new from another culture and I promise you will find your inspiration on the way.

Also, travelling is therapeutic from the moment you start your journey to the moment you end it. Reflect on how can you improve yourself in your way and reflect on how much you’ve changed in so little time on your way home.

Eventually, you will return happier and relaxed. All ready to build your way to success!

Connect with other people

Hearing other people’s stories and thoughts can also have a positive effect on your inspiration. Find out what makes other people move on and what motivates them.

You need social interaction in order to live happily and freely.

Therefore, the lack of communication might be the thing that made you lose your inspiration in the first place.

We, as humans need recreational time to spend outside with our loved ones.

You should always make time for socialising. Go out and have dinner somewhere nice, have a laugh, enjoy a good conversation and take some time for yourself. We all need it!

As I said before, women empowerment is extremely important, therefore I am so glad that I’ve shared with you these amazing  5 easy steps for regaining your inspiration. I hope you found them empowering and helpful.

I’m curious about what makes you feel inspired and motivated.

What would your 6th step be? Let me know in the comments below.

Lots of love,

Andrada
