I’m writing this early in the morning, while hearing the birds singing and looking outside the window at the winter sun, thinking that it’s not too long now until Spring will start delighting us. Until then, there’s one day that some people might celebrate and some might not. For my ladies who will decide to celebrate their love for themselves, for their partners, family or best friends, I welcome you to my latest post on how to dress for Valentine’s Day in 2020.
You might have noticed this hashtag: #NGPersonalStyleSeries. It’s not unintentional. As I’m currently writing mainly about motivation and lifestyle, I’ve decided to also combine the two and don’t forget about the wonderful topic of fashion & style which got me started blogging in the first place.
Let’s GO ⭐️
Forget the Valentine Day’s ‘Trends’ (which are actually NOT trends)
Valentine’s day doesn’t have to be about pink dresses, ruffles and everything else that the marketing industry is spoon feeding us with. Obviously, if that is your usual style and if you find yourself in it, by all means embrace it. I guess what I’m trying to say is that whatever style you will choose for the day, make sure it represents you, even though we’re talking about boots, shorts or unusual dresses. You’ve got this, babe.
Think along the lines of a ‘sexy outfit’
Some say that a woman needs to be sexy & on point all the time, regardless of their status or where they’re at. I love that concept and I have to say that I’m more and more inclined to put away my fluffy socks & lounge wear lately. I’ve never been a fan of dressing like I’m 10 years old anyway, why start doing it now? We’re ladies and we have to be elegant. And please, only wear silk to bed all the time. There’s nothing more distasteful than leggings and ugly T-shirts in bed. You’ll have a different vibe, I promise you and who knows maybe you’ll love it (I’m sure you will).
If you’re going out to celebrate your love, you have to look sexy. Again, not just for the occasion, but the majority of your time because looking gorgeous is our job, isn’t it? A nice combination you can consider would be leather shorts, cami and a black blazer. Simple, elegant and gorgeous.
The best part? You may already have these items in your wardrobe!
Be unapologetically you. You might laugh too loud (too loud for who?), you might be sassy and talk too much. Like me 😉 Don’t change your personality or who you are. Adapt to situations, but yea, don’t change. Love comes and goes, stay true to yourself.
Wear a smile on Valentine’s day and bring your attitude with you. You’ll have a wonderful night.
Lots of love,
