Hello everyone,
Don’t you just love it when you can do a little staycation from time to time? The first time I actually stayed in London for a ‘so-called’ staycation was last weekend. I picked Shoreditch as my go to, because it reminds me of the Northern Quarter in Manchester – you can find it all, from fancy bars to niche coffee places. Keep on reading to find out more about how you could turn your own city into a holiday spot, or how to most enjoy London’s Shoreditch if you’ve never visited.
Where to stay
If you’re looking for a cute & fun accommodation, pick Point A Hotels where you can turn your room into a colourful dance floor which comes in handy if you want to capture some cool pictures! They offer an excellent customer service and a great A-list which you can use for discounts at partner brands (restaurants, beauty salons, bars). Some of them are Ballie Ballerson, Shoreditch Nails, Rascals – looks super fun, Lanzana Café and many others. All of these are walking distance from the hotel which is great for a change when it comes to London.
For me, the best part was the breakfast which they call ‘the brekkie’. The area is really stylish and the breakfast was delicious: we had fruit, granola, different types of pastry. I love a great breakfast, so this was a winner for me – guilty for trying everything!
What to do
Shoreditch is such a fun place! We went to Ballie Ballerson where we danced and played around in their three available ball pits – such a great laugh! I have to say, the person who came up with this idea was a genius – a playground for grownups! We then had a bar crawl to different places around Shoreditch. There’s something fun for everyone, you just need to look up the places first or let yourself go with the vibe.
What to eat & drink
The pizza at Ballie is absolutely delicious. This was my second time visiting them, and for the first time I went for the bottomless Prosecco and pizza, so I tried all of them. My favourite ones are the BBQ chicken and the Mozzarella & Pesto. Try the David Bowie cocktail – it comes with your own glitter lipstick which is quite unique.
You have to visit Shoreditch and pay the Point A Hotel a visit! It’s your ticket to an unforgettable weekend for sure.
Until next time,
