Summer hair tips are much needed – the heat wave this season will be real. Therefore, I promised myself that this time around, it won’t catch me off guard. If you’ve been following me for a while now, you might now that since this year I’m taking extra care of my hair, including chopping it frequently. Also, my mantra is ‘why have unhealthy hair, even though is long?’. Stay close to discover my three ways to achieve the healthiest hair this Summer.
Summer Hair Tips
Tip 1: Go for Keratin
Firstly, you need to choose your shampoo and conditioner according to their ingredients and the ‘problem’ you’d like to target. I have thin hair, without too much volume. Therefore, I prefer a keratin hair treatment that will bring my hair the nourishment and volume it needs. It’s so important to use keratin, especially during Summer time because your hair is in great need to become fortified internally and externally. Keratin does just that. It takes great care of your locks while making it stronger. This range is also anti-hair loss, perfect for Summer.
This range basically has two benefits in one: keratin to give you strong hair and other ingredients that prevent hair loss. All at a very reasonable price. How can you resist it?
Tip 2: Start using leave-in treatments
Another summer hair tip from me would be to start using leave-in treatments. The one I’ve been using recently comes from the same brand, Brazil Keratin. It improves the quality of the structure of your hair, while it activates the roots as well. Moreover, it’s not thick at all on my hair. I apply it after I towel dry my hair and I leave it in to work its magic. Therefore, it’s totally worth it!
Tip 3: Protect your hair against heat
At all times, protect your hair against heat. I’ve chosen a Protective Serum from Kallos which provides a glossy protective film around the hair. Also, it leaves my hair shiny and bouncy, without an oily touch. Although I prefer applying it on dry hair, just before I curl it, you can apply it on damp hair and it will work just as well. Remember to always use it even when you blow dry your hair. Using a protective spray for the past year really helped with not having split ends.
In Summer, I also love to use cosmetic ingredients such as aloe vera, tea tree or lavender. I love to have a skin peeling once every two weeks. Thus, I’ve chosen this Saloos Naturcosmetics peeling (enriched with Lavender and Tea Trea). I ensure that I exfoliate all my skin, including the beginning of my scalp. That’s my trick for removing build up 😉
