Glitter was a huge trend of 2017! Let’s break it down for you today.

If you love a bit of glitz & glam, you might have been bought into this trend by now. I LOVE glitter, but equally I feel that if I am to wear it in an everyday setting, I need to find the right balance to matching it to my outfit (just to avoid looking as the ultimate trashy version of Lady Gaga, you know). Instead of going for the obvious, I chose this pair of dark copper shoes to wear around the big city.

Probably like most of you girls, I often like to interpret trends, and not follow them exactly. What do I mean by that? When glitter is trending, I might chose to wear some cool shiny shoes like these ones – not necessarily super glittery. You will still feel trendy and ready to shine!

Top Advice: Don’t be afraid to experiment trends – you might fun to find your own variations from trends or designer collections.

Pink Fairytale

This is one of my absolute favourite outfits! I remember walking dressed in my sparkly dress and dropping glitter everywhere around the university. I feel amazing when I put together an outfit that is able to pass the test of TIME (even though it’s only a year or two). Don’t you?  Because I didn’t go for proper glitter shoes, I was able to wear more glitter on the dress. It’s all about balance 🙂

Hot Tip: When choosing shiny shoes, make sure you have the perfect outfit to go with them. The colours you chose for your outfit should match the colour scheme of the shoes, just so you balance your look. Preferably, your outfit should have no more than two different colours that compliment each other.
