This Autumn, I’m really trying to make an effort with the way I accessorise my outfits. After all, they can take any outfit to the next level, right? Give me a beautiful Danish design watch and a simple turtle neck shirt and we have an elegant vibe going on. I’ve recently came across this sustainable Danish brand which crafts delicate time pieces that go really well with the colour palette of this season and layered outfits. Let’s have a look at their story & giving back program and how I’ve styled one of their beautiful watches.

Nordgreen’s story – Danish Design Watch

To me, the story behind the brand is equally important and interesting. In my view, a brand is sustainable not only because it uses friendly materials, but also because it treats employees fairly. Also, when it comes to Nordgreen, the well-being of their employees is at their core as they make efforts to ensure everyone involved in the brand works in a fair environment.

Sustainable materials

What I really like about Nordgreen is that they choose sustainable and environmentally friendly materials that last. For instance, the packaging is made out of FSC-certified cardboard and up-cycled felt. Also, all straps are produced with environmentally friendly methods to reduce chemical pollutions.

Gold watch

My golden mesh is very high quality and goes perfectly with my nude outfit. It really stands out and I feel that I don’t even need to be wearing different accessories to make my outfit stand out. If you love the look of this, I have a 15% off discount code for you that you can use on the entire website: MISS.

Giving back programme

Besides, their sustainable practices, Nordgreen are engaged in an impressive giving back programme. Furthermore, they support three great causes with each watch purchased by customers. You can choose one of the three causes: Health, Education and Rainforest Preservation and Nordgreen make sure the fund is used for tangible projects through their partnered NGOs. How interesting is that? Thus, you’re not only wearing a stylish time piece, but you are also supporting a cause. They have all my respect for that.

Styling the Infinity time-piece – Danish Design Watch

I went for the Infinity time piece – sized 32 mm. Also, it’s the first watch I ever buy that doesn’t need adjustment – not that I bothered in the past to be fair. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this Danish Design Watch fits me so well. It’s my favourite to wear at the moment and I’m sure it will stay that way. You can now enjoy 15% off the entire website by using my code: MISS.

Let’s have a look at my quick tips on styling it, shall we?

Styling the time piece is very easy actually. Think about wearing a mono-chrome outfit – it will make the whole look so elegant. For instance, I chose to wear a nude outfit – a simple turtle neck paired with a pair of bold shorts. In regards to the shoes, I chose a pair of nude over the knee boots to make the look more interesting.

Growing up, I realised that it’s so important to adhere to a minimalist style because everything looks just so much better. I’m very glad to have found a brand like Nordgreen that understands that and design minimalist pieces for women just like myself.

I hope you’ve enjoyed their story and that you’re going to love my discount code: MISS to enjoy 15% off the entire website.

This post is kindly sponsored by Nordgreen – as always views and opinions are my own.

Lots of love,

Andrada

Fringe boots are such a trend since ages now; I remember browsing through Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire in my teenage years and wanted a pair of them so bad. Nevertheless, they can elevate an outfit and make you feel super stylish – like you’ve just walked out of a fashion magazine. Let’s have a look at the tips you need right now to ensure you’re wearing them in the best possible way. Also, remember to let your style shine through while wearing them.

Keep your outfit to a minimum

Fringe boots are honestly a walking show. Therefore, you don’t want to be wearing a heavy outfit because the final results won’t be stylish at all. Instead, consider wearing a white dress – like the one I’m wearing below or a mono-chrome outfit (think about shorts & a shirt or a skirt & a simple top).

Furthermore, depending on the colour of your boots, you can think of a colour palette that will suit. For brown and white boots, I suggest either white or nude; for black boots, I think a black outfit will suit you the best.

Consider minimalistic accessories

When styling fringe boots, a plain belt can do the job! Also, if you’re wearing a dress, accessorising with a belt will make your silhouette more visible.

Moreover, the trick when wearing fringe boots is to create a nice effect on the upper side of your body. As we’ve seen, you don’t want to over do it with the accessories. Thus, go for a plain belt and an accentuated waist.

Choosing the right bag

I love to break the style and add something different to it with an unique bag. Nevertheless, the bag that I’m talking about is a transparent ‘crocodile’ skin clutch which is held by a beautiful silver chain.

I don’t know about you, but… I love to stand out, with my style and my personality. So, it makes sense for me to be wearing weird accessories and sometimes a bit crazy outfits. I encourage you to do the same. If you feel like it, show off your personality.

The attitude you need to wear

You need to be wearing these boots with confidence. Confidence in yourself and in the fact that you look gorgeous. Some people might like to pick on you because let’s face it, they’re quite unusual. I surely had people asking me about my choices, but at the end of the day, all I care about is feeling 100% in what I wear. If I do, the rest don’t really matter.

Places to wear fringe boots

Since they’re not suitable to any occasion, you might be wondering where about I’m currently wearing my fringe boots. I tend to wear them when I walk around parks, whilst I’m shopping, on rooftops and when I’m meeting friends for lunch.

These are more daily activities because I feel they look much better when worn in an outfit designed to be worn during daylight.

Hope you enjoyed my tips on styling fringe boots and that you’ll look forward to wearing your pair very soon.

Have you considered jumping on this fringe boots trend? Just let me know in the comment section below because I love to be hearing from you.

Thank you,

Andrada

Autumn Clothes. How much they mean to me! So much that I’ve just found myself with just a few items in my Summer wardrobe – wait, what? As you heard me, I own more Fall / Winter wear than any other items. However, this must be due to the fact that I’ve been living in England for so long. Nevertheless, let’s dig into what I think to be amazing high street buys in 2020.

Autumn Clothes – Crop Blazers for warmish nights

This Zara cropped blazer has made the top of my list! I mean, its tied detail at the front and the lapel collar will look absolutely stunning with a pair of white trousers and a pair of elegant boots. I’m all here for it.

Long Blazers for chilly nights

I feel that Mango totally owns the pre-fall and fall collections. I’m in love with their prints, straights cuts and solid fabrics. This Autumn clothes collection is no exception to that. Imagine Earthy tones, dark maroons, nudes and checked patterns – your one stop shop for the most stylish season. This long blazer has a very subtle check, yet very prevalent. A must have for this Autumn – it can be a piece that will last you for a couple of years.

Wool blend coat – a rare find amongst Autumn Clothes

Aaaand I’m obsessed. This very long wool blend coat is such a rare find, especially at this price. I’m actually so happy there are coats in this Zara collection that are worth investing in. So, what are you waiting for?

Belted Wool Coat – for the cozy lover

This is such a snuggly coat. It looks comfy, yet very elegant. Furthermore, the belt will ensure that you’ll feel warm while strolling the city or indulging in some mulled wine at the Christmas markets – or maybe not with all that white? Just a thought. Overall, I love its collar, the length of it and it’s 64% wool.

The High-Heeled Over the Knee Autumn Boots

These are such a HOT trend: all leather, high-heeled boots with a retro vibe. Ah, Zara, you did it again. I can’t recommend buying these enough. They also seem like pieces that will last you for a long time.

Combat boots – must have!

My absolute favourites – combat boots handmade by a Romanian brand, Moja! I’ve been getting a good wear out of them last year and I certainly plan to do so this year. Although they’re quite heavy on my feet, I think they’re so stylish and are worth the slight discomfort.

Autumn Clothes – The IT Shirt

Don’t we all love a good white shirt or is it just me? I feel that they’re so versatile and perfect for the Autumn season. You can pair it with jeans, trousers and different types of skirts. I don’t think that they’ll go out of style any time soon. So, don’t wait up, go ahead and grab your perfect one. I adore this one from ASOS because it has a manly collar whilst the sleeves show a feminine touch. I loveee!

Autumn Clothes – Statement Autumn Hat

Fedora hats are my thing. I love them in any colour, but especially in kaki, nude or black. Here’s a more eccentric version for you via ASOS. Gotta adore a good hat. Your time to shine is NOW.

The Most Gorgeous Trousers

These Mango trousers are just so gorgeous. I want them in every colour possible. They make an outfit so elegant and you don’t have to worry about adding statement elements ’cause you just found them. I promise you, they’re so good to have in your wardrobe and look great, especially for the price of £29.99.

These would be my absolute favourite items for this season and also some affordable high-street options for giving your wardrobe a bit of newness.

What’s your favourite item?

P.S: Let’s connect on Instagram for more looks and empowering words (I seem to be the master of those haha).

How have you been? I hope you’ve embraced the season and that you’ve been creative with your DIYs around the house (inside link). Let’s talk a little bit about fashion today because as you know I’m really about empowerment and making you feel absolutely amazing with your own style. If you ask me about one outfit to empower yourself this Autumn, I can’t rave about this one enough.

Give me a pair of knee high boots and I can conquer the city. Give me a skirt to go with them and you have my favourite outfit this season. Sounds pretty simple, right? Let’s have a look at the accessories which will bring your outfit to life and empower yourself during the coldish but very beautiful days.

No meetings on the calendar, no events you need to attend but the one that you organise for yourself: a relaxing day where you do just what you want! I recently had one of those and I picked to attend the London Cocktail festival, eat Italian and spend some time at the cool bars at the Shard. For that day I wore something else, but for days when I just have a walk or enjoy my time outside, I have my favourite outfit that I will share with you today. So, what should you wear to make the best out of your casual day?

Shape the season in style

It’s not huge news that everyone goes wild on layering in Autumn. Whilst I feel that layering is important and gives that umpf to your outfit (yes, umpf), I like to keep the layering to a minimum on casual days. Two layers is enough for me to feel like I’m in control of my outfit and nothing will be falling off. Do you ever have that feeling that your three-layer outfit looks good only if you wear it in three layers? What I mean by this is: if I decide to lose one layer during the day because it’s too warm, I feel I destroyed the whole concept. Rest assured, that doesn’t mean I don’t wear layers but I’m just more cautious with it; that type of making sure the outfit is still looking snatched. Take your wardrobe on the layering adventure in times when you’re feeling up for it.

What to wear on a casual day?

Nothing says casual more than a vintage denim shirt! Don’t you think so? It says: I’m relaxed, but super pretty. Taken from a charity shop three years ago, this shirt is my number one love for casual days. So, shop the thrift shops for goodies that last.

Miss Andrada What to wear on a casual day

Obviously if going for a walk you need something comfy on top of that; as I’m not a massive fan of hoodies and the only one I own is a university branded one, I opted for a vest. It’s my shepherd vest which I love to bits. If anyone has a comment, I just say ‘I’m a shepherd’ and it makes people laugh. Fashion is fun and it’s all about embracing what you love to wear. I would recommend you to be confident and take a stand for the things you want to wear even though they might seem unusual to people. Who cares? It’s you who wears the clothes and if you decide to be fun, then be it.

Miss Andrada What to wear on a casual day

Consider the fact that if you do quite a bit of walking, your shoes need to comply to the standards. I live in my boots and you know it, but whatever is comfy for you but also makes you feel put together, it’s worth wearing. I’ll let you choose trainers for this – I think it’s the only occasion when I think you can get away with it, besides the gym.

Accessories wise, just keep them to a minimum if you’re looking for comfort. A watch that compliments the outfit and has that ‘borrowed from the boys’ look will make your appearance relaxed, but also stylish. The Obaku Viol Granite watch gives me that feeling of I didn’t put too much effort into looking amazing, but I do. It’s that Swedish minimalist design that makes me absolutely love wearing it.

I hope this outfit gave you a quick look into a casual chic outfit for a day out and about. It was mental health awareness day and I believe the best way of celebrating it is to take time for yourself. A relaxed day where you plan to do exactly what you absolutely love doing is the perfect escape from things that stress us every day. Now that you have the right outfit for it, what are you waiting for?

When the pumpkin latte arrives at Starbucks, that’s how you know it’s officially Autumn. We’re getting cosy & comfy today with one outfit you need to wear in Autumn 2018. Grab a coffee and your outfit planner and let’s have some styling fun.

You’ve seen these prints on Pinterest and Instagram and to be fair, I feel like a good old checked print sets the mood for Autumn. As well as all the other bits: autumn candles, rusted leaves, chestnuts and pumpkin cupcakes. I wanted to fully embrace this season, so I did a little shopping of candles, cupcake trays and other pieces of decoration for my house last weekend – I did a quick haul on my Instagram stories @notagirlygal.

Getting cosy: One Outfit You Need to Wear in Autumn 2018

There are a lot of combinations you can choose and think about while creating a patterned outfit Autumn look. You can go for dresses worn on top of jumpers, checked skirts and white shirts or checked vests on top of a (really) autumnal outfit.

I chose this classic print because I assume that all of you have a checked printed piece of clothing at home waiting for you to style it. As the checked item will represent the main piece in your outfit, you would like the other pieces not to stand out as much as the others.

TIP: Go for Earthy colours such as nudes and maroons to make the patterned piece steal the show.

 Time for the perfect accessories

It’s Autumn: your perfect excuse to go big on accessories! I love wearing hats, berets, big earrings and watches.

The elegant watch I am wearing is the Viol by Obaku (a Danish brand just launching in the U.K) – I love how the watch comes in the same colour of my jeans. It looks so fragile on my wrist, I think that’s what makes it elegant. If you’re looking for a simple watch this season, keep close as I will be running a giveaway soon!

The beret just makes this outfit so chic – I got this one from Paris from a cute boutique.

Earring wise, I think H&M are smashing it with their collections – these ones are from Holister, but I haven’t been in there for a while now.

 Alternatives to hats

If hats are not really your thing, a sleek ponytail is always cool to wear in autumn. From my point of view, top knots and ponytails work so beautifully with scarves of any kind: small, big or even knitted.

Talking about knits, I feel that I’ve been getting on to my knitted stuff lately. I just like Autumn fashion because it’s more than just wearing a dress – it’s the art of layering that makes me enjoy creating outfits for both my blog and everyday wear. I guess it’s the same for all of fashion lovers out there.

Hello there my lovelies,

You might think that this grey sky shows no mercy to our outfits, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pull off amazing clothes, just like we did last season. I had a bit of a rough time adapting to the season, but after all, I’m happy that I have autumnal items to play with. With that said, right now we’re styling a super easy to wear cocktail shirt that you can wear in the evenings.

I’ve been on the Madison house rooftop with my boyfriend and a couple of good friends on a really sunny September evening. Aperol Spritz and funky music were calling my name while I was dancing on the terrace. We had such a great time that I now call it my favourite place in London.

Upgrading your Autumn Outfits in 2018!

Shoot in that exclusive location, today’s outfit has one special item that I was looking for since a while now. It’s that one thing we all need in our closet, but I just didn’t find the right one: a long shirt. You probably have a rough idea that I’m a big fan of shirts – any shape or length…even better if the shirt is white. What you don’t know is that I also love feathers. So, what happens if I find these two elements in one item? Exactly! Nirvana!

The best way of wearing the long shirt (the trick you need to know)

You’ll find that the best ways of wearing a long shirt is belted. I mean, long shirts are quite loose and of course as longs as I don’t expect them to be body con, I at least want them to look a bit more body hugging. I find long shirts to have an irregular shape that doesn’t look that great without the belt that adds dimension to your body. Search for a medium wide waist belt and get ready to sip on that cocktail with your girlfriends.

IMG_3640

What I love about this outfit, is that you can wear any shoes with it. I mean any of these will look amazing: boots, knee-high boots, heeled boots, stilettos, wedges. I would recommend to select your shoes depending on the location you will choose for going out. If you go to a nice rooftop bar, you want to choose the boots or stilettos and leave your Creepers for going out in Camden. You certainly get my drift here, right? From my point of view, shoes can change an outfit so much!

IMG_3642

Keeping warm: You can certainly add a nude trench coat on top of it in case it’s a bit cold.

When it comes to your hair, considering that the outfit is quite boy-ish, I would totally go for curls. I like keeping my hair wavy – I love that effortless waves that shout ‘I woke up like this’.

Happy beginning of Autumn, everyone! 🙂

I’m genuinely really excited to share these autumn 2018 trends with you! There are a lot of fun looks on runways for this season, but the ones that caught my interest are: bright colours and tweed. Therefore, I thought to create a super ‘on trend’ outfit for you. Let’s dig into it and see how you can easily recreate this cool look.

Autumn 2018 Trends: Art of Bright Colour Miss Andrada

Bright colours to inspire your Autumn days

Bright colours are still extra popular this season. To be honest, I was expecting them to take the beat seat, but actually they are poppin’.  I only take this as super good news because just think about it: you don’t have to buy anything new to embrace this trend. Just look through your spring wardrobe for the most colourful items and you’re set. I’m sure you have a shirt or a blazer in a crazy colour 💃🏻 I’ve picked out this yellow blazer as it can keep me warm if needed through out these early Autumn Days.

… now, who is in for some tweed?

Bored of them or not, tweed is the thing for Autumn. They’ll never be out of fashion. Did you actually know that its original name was ’twill’, but a London merchant misread the name written on a package received from Scotland and kept advertising it as ‘tweed’. That sounds like something that I could probably do – I have my own names for things just because I read too fast. You can mix tweed with warm bright colours like in this outfit, or you can go for the same colours in your tweed (blue / grey / brown).

Autumn 2018 Trends: Art of Bright Colour Miss Andrada

It’s your decision if you want to mix the two trends or keep them separate, but this is a cool outfit overall, so I totally recommend trying it. I would love to see you coming up with Autumn outfits and ideas of how we can get excited about this season’s fashion!

Hello there,

I guessed you want to keep yourself on top of the autumn trends of 2018. That’s why today we’re looking at prints inspired by the Animal Kingdom. Collections from Tom Ford, Diane Von Furstenberg, Carolina Herrera and Calvin Klein take us on a wild journey this autumn. Will you embrace this trend with open arms?

Images owned by Vogue UK.

Animal Print Origins

Just as stuffed animals were kept as trophies, royalties used to also decorate their palaces and castles with animal printed rugs as a sign of high status. Regarded as exotic, during the Bohemian Movement in the States in the 60’s, the animal print became highly popular among women.

Wearing animal prints in Autumn 2018

For me, animal prints have a fine line that is easy to cross. A printed leopard coat can look tacky, just as a cheetah printed dress can be too much! It’s true, the origin of the print comes from the gypsies where everything is extravagant. As cool as it had been in the past, nowadays an adaptation of the style is what’s trending. Now that we know the things to avoid, let’s get into picking up the perfect colour scheme and prints.

Choose One Animal Printed Item

You might love a lot of animal printed items – belts, scarves, shoes, dresses, blazers. That’s great! It’s key to limit yourself at wearing one printed item per outfit. I find the Zebra print the best of all – it’s the one far from looking cheap. In this outfit, I have chosen the Zebra scarf to be the star of the show. I’ve always had a passion for scarves, I own them in every colour possible … and in a couple of prints.

Animal Print Scarf Miss Andrada.jpg

Animal Prints and how to wear them

Once you have decided on the print, it’s time to choose your colour scheme. If you choose a Zebra print, then your go-to colour pallet should be black and white as primary colours. If you’re loving a leopard one, then a nude colour scheme is your best friend. This theory is pretty easy to follow, and it will save you a lot of time. Besides, you’ll put together more stylish outfits. And.. we all want to be stylish, don’t we?

I have opted for a classic Autumn outfit as you can see: black jeans, scarf, sun glasses and wedges. I love it because it’s suitable for more occasions: work, drinks out, a nice dinner. That’s my dear readers, the definition of the stylish modern women who doesn’t need to change 3 times a day for different occasions. I imagine myself jumping from the tube to a business meeting and then having drinks on the London’s best rooftop – all these while dressed in the same outfit.

What’s your opinion on animal prints? Do you believe in the fashion concept of the modern woman I described?

I hope you got inspired by the autumn trends 2018 and how to wear them best! 💋

Until next time,
