This Autumn, I’m really trying to make an effort with the way I accessorise my outfits. After all, they can take any outfit to the next level, right? Give me a beautiful Danish design watch and a simple turtle neck shirt and we have an elegant vibe going on. I’ve recently came across this sustainable Danish brand which crafts delicate time pieces that go really well with the colour palette of this season and layered outfits. Let’s have a look at their story & giving back program and how I’ve styled one of their beautiful watches.

Nordgreen’s story – Danish Design Watch

To me, the story behind the brand is equally important and interesting. In my view, a brand is sustainable not only because it uses friendly materials, but also because it treats employees fairly. Also, when it comes to Nordgreen, the well-being of their employees is at their core as they make efforts to ensure everyone involved in the brand works in a fair environment.

Sustainable materials

What I really like about Nordgreen is that they choose sustainable and environmentally friendly materials that last. For instance, the packaging is made out of FSC-certified cardboard and up-cycled felt. Also, all straps are produced with environmentally friendly methods to reduce chemical pollutions.

Gold watch

My golden mesh is very high quality and goes perfectly with my nude outfit. It really stands out and I feel that I don’t even need to be wearing different accessories to make my outfit stand out. If you love the look of this, I have a 15% off discount code for you that you can use on the entire website: MISS.

Giving back programme

Besides, their sustainable practices, Nordgreen are engaged in an impressive giving back programme. Furthermore, they support three great causes with each watch purchased by customers. You can choose one of the three causes: Health, Education and Rainforest Preservation and Nordgreen make sure the fund is used for tangible projects through their partnered NGOs. How interesting is that? Thus, you’re not only wearing a stylish time piece, but you are also supporting a cause. They have all my respect for that.

Styling the Infinity time-piece – Danish Design Watch

I went for the Infinity time piece – sized 32 mm. Also, it’s the first watch I ever buy that doesn’t need adjustment – not that I bothered in the past to be fair. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this Danish Design Watch fits me so well. It’s my favourite to wear at the moment and I’m sure it will stay that way. You can now enjoy 15% off the entire website by using my code: MISS.

Let’s have a look at my quick tips on styling it, shall we?

Styling the time piece is very easy actually. Think about wearing a mono-chrome outfit – it will make the whole look so elegant. For instance, I chose to wear a nude outfit – a simple turtle neck paired with a pair of bold shorts. In regards to the shoes, I chose a pair of nude over the knee boots to make the look more interesting.

Growing up, I realised that it’s so important to adhere to a minimalist style because everything looks just so much better. I’m very glad to have found a brand like Nordgreen that understands that and design minimalist pieces for women just like myself.

I hope you’ve enjoyed their story and that you’re going to love my discount code: MISS to enjoy 15% off the entire website.

This post is kindly sponsored by Nordgreen – as always views and opinions are my own.

Lots of love,

Andrada

How have you been? I hope you’ve embraced the season and that you’ve been creative with your DIYs around the house (inside link). Let’s talk a little bit about fashion today because as you know I’m really about empowerment and making you feel absolutely amazing with your own style. If you ask me about one outfit to empower yourself this Autumn, I can’t rave about this one enough.

Give me a pair of knee high boots and I can conquer the city. Give me a skirt to go with them and you have my favourite outfit this season. Sounds pretty simple, right? Let’s have a look at the accessories which will bring your outfit to life and empower yourself during the coldish but very beautiful days.

No meetings on the calendar, no events you need to attend but the one that you organise for yourself: a relaxing day where you do just what you want! I recently had one of those and I picked to attend the London Cocktail festival, eat Italian and spend some time at the cool bars at the Shard. For that day I wore something else, but for days when I just have a walk or enjoy my time outside, I have my favourite outfit that I will share with you today. So, what should you wear to make the best out of your casual day?

Shape the season in style

It’s not huge news that everyone goes wild on layering in Autumn. Whilst I feel that layering is important and gives that umpf to your outfit (yes, umpf), I like to keep the layering to a minimum on casual days. Two layers is enough for me to feel like I’m in control of my outfit and nothing will be falling off. Do you ever have that feeling that your three-layer outfit looks good only if you wear it in three layers? What I mean by this is: if I decide to lose one layer during the day because it’s too warm, I feel I destroyed the whole concept. Rest assured, that doesn’t mean I don’t wear layers but I’m just more cautious with it; that type of making sure the outfit is still looking snatched. Take your wardrobe on the layering adventure in times when you’re feeling up for it.

What to wear on a casual day?

Nothing says casual more than a vintage denim shirt! Don’t you think so? It says: I’m relaxed, but super pretty. Taken from a charity shop three years ago, this shirt is my number one love for casual days. So, shop the thrift shops for goodies that last.

Obviously if going for a walk you need something comfy on top of that; as I’m not a massive fan of hoodies and the only one I own is a university branded one, I opted for a vest. It’s my shepherd vest which I love to bits. If anyone has a comment, I just say ‘I’m a shepherd’ and it makes people laugh. Fashion is fun and it’s all about embracing what you love to wear. I would recommend you to be confident and take a stand for the things you want to wear even though they might seem unusual to people. Who cares? It’s you who wears the clothes and if you decide to be fun, then be it.

Consider the fact that if you do quite a bit of walking, your shoes need to comply to the standards. I live in my boots and you know it, but whatever is comfy for you but also makes you feel put together, it’s worth wearing. I’ll let you choose trainers for this – I think it’s the only occasion when I think you can get away with it, besides the gym.

Accessories wise, just keep them to a minimum if you’re looking for comfort. A watch that compliments the outfit and has that ‘borrowed from the boys’ look will make your appearance relaxed, but also stylish. The Obaku Viol Granite watch gives me that feeling of I didn’t put too much effort into looking amazing, but I do. It’s that Swedish minimalist design that makes me absolutely love wearing it.

I hope this outfit gave you a quick look into a casual chic outfit for a day out and about. It was mental health awareness day and I believe the best way of celebrating it is to take time for yourself. A relaxed day where you plan to do exactly what you absolutely love doing is the perfect escape from things that stress us every day. Now that you have the right outfit for it, what are you waiting for?

Hello there,

Choosing your cream trench coat means that you’ll spend a bit of time researching magazines, fashion blogs and perhaps Instagram. I’ll spare you the search. Either you’re getting your Autumn outfits ready for the season or you’re getting your hands on pieces that will make a statement for you this season, this post will show you how to choose your statement trench coat which is a must-have for me.

  1. Look at the overall appearance of the trench

I’ve seen different types of coats. The fabric can either ‘make or break’ a coat. Make sure your fabric looks of high-quality and it’s thick enough. Waterproof material is an added plus of course, especially if you live in London. Stay away from sheer fabric because not only it won’t keep you warm, but it will look cheap.

TIP: Try the coat on and if it feels heavy, then that’s the one you want.

  1. Decide on a good length for you

Depending on where you want your cream coat to fall, you want to make sure the length is good for your height. For me, I wanted it to be really long as almost all my outdoor wear is shorter. If you’re looking for a long one too, just make sure your boots can be seen, otherwise you’ll look short.

TIP: Don’t try it on with high heels unless you’re only going to wear it with high heels.

Choosing your cream trench coat autumn trends

  1. Look out for features that make it special

Now, the fun part! You want to make a statement – pick items that have cool features. The feature that makes this cream coat stand out is the sleeve detail. Some coats can have badges or stickers. Others can have a cool chain on the top part. It’s up to your personal preference here.

TIP: Look for your coat in unique places such as clothes markets or even vintage stores. Gems are hiding there. That’s how I found mine.

Choosing your cream trench coat autumn trends

  1. Add a leather belt

Replace the boring strap with a brown leather belt. The belt will give your coat a nice proportion – tight on your waist and loose on the bottom. You will look impeccable!

TIP: Choose a medium width belt. Too narrow – it won’t have the desired effect; too wide – it will be too much.

I hope I helped you in choosing your cream statement coat for Autumn. I just wanted to ask you: How many coats do you have for the season and which one is your favourite from your personal collection?

Lots of love,

When the pumpkin latte arrives at Starbucks, that’s how you know it’s officially Autumn. We’re getting cosy & comfy today with one outfit you need to wear in Autumn 2018. Grab a coffee and your outfit planner and let’s have some styling fun.

You’ve seen these prints on Pinterest and Instagram and to be fair, I feel like a good old checked print sets the mood for Autumn. As well as all the other bits: autumn candles, rusted leaves, chestnuts and pumpkin cupcakes. I wanted to fully embrace this season, so I did a little shopping of candles, cupcake trays and other pieces of decoration for my house last weekend – I did a quick haul on my Instagram stories @notagirlygal.

Getting cosy: One Outfit You Need to Wear in Autumn 2018

There are a lot of combinations you can choose and think about while creating a patterned outfit Autumn look. You can go for dresses worn on top of jumpers, checked skirts and white shirts or checked vests on top of a (really) autumnal outfit.

I chose this classic print because I assume that all of you have a checked printed piece of clothing at home waiting for you to style it. As the checked item will represent the main piece in your outfit, you would like the other pieces not to stand out as much as the others.

TIP: Go for Earthy colours such as nudes and maroons to make the patterned piece steal the show.

 Time for the perfect accessories

It’s Autumn: your perfect excuse to go big on accessories! I love wearing hats, berets, big earrings and watches.

The elegant watch I am wearing is the Viol by Obaku (a Danish brand just launching in the U.K) – I love how the watch comes in the same colour of my jeans. It looks so fragile on my wrist, I think that’s what makes it elegant. If you’re looking for a simple watch this season, keep close as I will be running a giveaway soon!

The beret just makes this outfit so chic – I got this one from Paris from a cute boutique.

Earring wise, I think H&M are smashing it with their collections – these ones are from Holister, but I haven’t been in there for a while now.

 Alternatives to hats

If hats are not really your thing, a sleek ponytail is always cool to wear in autumn. From my point of view, top knots and ponytails work so beautifully with scarves of any kind: small, big or even knitted.

Talking about knits, I feel that I’ve been getting on to my knitted stuff lately. I just like Autumn fashion because it’s more than just wearing a dress – it’s the art of layering that makes me enjoy creating outfits for both my blog and everyday wear. I guess it’s the same for all of fashion lovers out there.

Happy beginning of Autumn, everyone! 🙂

I’m genuinely really excited to share these autumn 2018 trends with you! There are a lot of fun looks on runways for this season, but the ones that caught my interest are: bright colours and tweed. Therefore, I thought to create a super ‘on trend’ outfit for you. Let’s dig into it and see how you can easily recreate this cool look.

Bright colours to inspire your Autumn days

Bright colours are still extra popular this season. To be honest, I was expecting them to take the beat seat, but actually they are poppin’.  I only take this as super good news because just think about it: you don’t have to buy anything new to embrace this trend. Just look through your spring wardrobe for the most colourful items and you’re set. I’m sure you have a shirt or a blazer in a crazy colour 💃🏻 I’ve picked out this yellow blazer as it can keep me warm if needed through out these early Autumn Days.

… now, who is in for some tweed?

Bored of them or not, tweed is the thing for Autumn. They’ll never be out of fashion. Did you actually know that its original name was ’twill’, but a London merchant misread the name written on a package received from Scotland and kept advertising it as ‘tweed’. That sounds like something that I could probably do – I have my own names for things just because I read too fast. You can mix tweed with warm bright colours like in this outfit, or you can go for the same colours in your tweed (blue / grey / brown).

It’s your decision if you want to mix the two trends or keep them separate, but this is a cool outfit overall, so I totally recommend trying it. I would love to see you coming up with Autumn outfits and ideas of how we can get excited about this season’s fashion!

Hi girls,

It’s Autumn already – that great transition between summer and winter that always gets us questioning what would be the perfect items to wear. Don’t let yourself too influenced by the ‘latest’ trends that try to make you run to the shops and buy all the ‘new-in’ items. Evaluate really well whether you need THAT or not. Let’s say the new item consists of a ripped T-shirt. Chances are that you will only wear it once or twice. So, why invest in something that will only occupy space in your wardrobe? Today we’ll talk about the five items you need to conquer the autumn fashion.

First of all, a wardrobe is really complete if you own basics, but know how to match them with different accessories / clothes. Why should you have basics? Simply because you can also wear them on their own, but it would be really easy for you in the future to assign the basics to different styles to create great outfits. However, let’s talk about the basics now –a mix and match blog post is coming up soon.

It’s important to have your essentials in black or white so when you add other clothes, you will keep the chromatic balance – as you should never wear more than 3 colours at once.

A Black Body Top

The black body top is a must in every woman’s wardrobe.  It looks amazing underneath a cool jumper or shirt and it will keep you warm during those rainy days.

A minimalist white button-down shirt

There is no need to tell you about the wonders a white shirt can do an outfit. You can knot it in front or tuck it in. I wouldn’t wear it untucked (at least in front) or unknotted, just because I believe it can make the body look big and bulky, unless I wear it on top.

A pair of black faux leather pants

Ah, how much I love these! Faux leather pants can spice up an outfit and make you feel like you’ve just walked out from a rock music video.

missandrada-autumn-essentials-whiite-shirt-hat-black-leatherpants

 Black Heel Boots

A pair of heel boots can make any outfit look super stylish. I feel they can look so cool with pants or with a short-knitted dress.

missandrada-autumn-essentials-whiite-shirt-hat-black-leatherpants

A black hat

This is a basic (from my point of view) but also a statement item to wear in autumn and winter. Take my word for it and go get a good quality hat to wear this season.

I am wearing:

Zara Black Lace Body Top

Hugo Boss White Shirt

H&M Black Faux-Leather Pants

Miss Guided Boots

Zara Hat

Note: If leather pants are not for you, you can add a black pair of skinny jeans for your essentials – the effect will be quite similar. Also, if you prefer dresses to pants, a little black dress can for sure be included in your list. A great alternative for basics instead of a pair of heels can be a pair of army boots (I AM A HUGE FAN); just please do not consider trainers as essentials or basics – they look good only when you work out.

What items do you have in your essentials? Scarves? T-shirts? Please let me know in the comment sections, so I can find out other opinions and add some more on my list. I really value your comments!

Until next time,

MISSANDRADA
