Browsing

Fringe boots are such a trend since ages now; I remember browsing through Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire in my teenage years and wanted a pair of them so bad. Nevertheless, they can elevate an outfit and make you feel super stylish – like you’ve just walked out of a fashion magazine. Let’s have a look at the tips you need right now to ensure you’re wearing them in the best possible way. Also, remember to let your style shine through while wearing them.

Keep your outfit to a minimum

Fringe boots are honestly a walking show. Therefore, you don’t want to be wearing a heavy outfit because the final results won’t be stylish at all. Instead, consider wearing a white dress – like the one I’m wearing below or a mono-chrome outfit (think about shorts & a shirt or a skirt & a simple top).

Furthermore, depending on the colour of your boots, you can think of a colour palette that will suit. For brown and white boots, I suggest either white or nude; for black boots, I think a black outfit will suit you the best.

Consider minimalistic accessories

When styling fringe boots, a plain belt can do the job! Also, if you’re wearing a dress, accessorising with a belt will make your silhouette more visible.

Moreover, the trick when wearing fringe boots is to create a nice effect on the upper side of your body. As we’ve seen, you don’t want to over do it with the accessories. Thus, go for a plain belt and an accentuated waist.

Choosing the right bag

I love to break the style and add something different to it with an unique bag. Nevertheless, the bag that I’m talking about is a transparent ‘crocodile’ skin clutch which is held by a beautiful silver chain.

I don’t know about you, but… I love to stand out, with my style and my personality. So, it makes sense for me to be wearing weird accessories and sometimes a bit crazy outfits. I encourage you to do the same. If you feel like it, show off your personality.

The attitude you need to wear

You need to be wearing these boots with confidence. Confidence in yourself and in the fact that you look gorgeous. Some people might like to pick on you because let’s face it, they’re quite unusual. I surely had people asking me about my choices, but at the end of the day, all I care about is feeling 100% in what I wear. If I do, the rest don’t really matter.

Places to wear fringe boots

Since they’re not suitable to any occasion, you might be wondering where about I’m currently wearing my fringe boots. I tend to wear them when I walk around parks, whilst I’m shopping, on rooftops and when I’m meeting friends for lunch.

These are more daily activities because I feel they look much better when worn in an outfit designed to be worn during daylight.

Hope you enjoyed my tips on styling fringe boots and that you’ll look forward to wearing your pair very soon.

Have you considered jumping on this fringe boots trend? Just let me know in the comment section below because I love to be hearing from you.

Thank you,

Andrada

Transition outfits from Summer to Early Autumn are my favourites. That makes me welcome you back to the #NGStylingSeries because I’ve prepared a jam-packed article with lots of interesting ideas that will take your outfits to the next level. Brew your cup of tea or coffee and prepare for some ready to use tips. Let’s dig into it right now 👇🏻

Transition Outfits: Mix midi dresses with over the knee boots

Firstly, THIS will make you look so chic and super prepared for a stylish Autumn ahead. You surely own a midi dress and some boots from the last season, right? Nevertheless, have fun with mixing the two together and enjoy your new look. My favourites to mix? Chiffon dresses because they have something from Summer’s softness, but worn together with some cool boots will result in a pretty cool outfit. Add an oversized bag and big sunnies and you’re ready to look like you’ve just walked from a Pinterest post. You know the Autumny type, right? Enjoy this woman empowering look.

Tank tops are still your friend

Tank tops are not taking the back seat in early Autumn, it’s too soon for that. Also, why let that happen when they look so high class? Wear your tank tops with jeans, add a statement belt and a pair of wedges. Ah, the ultimate style. Did anyone say cocktails on the rooftop? I’m surely down for that. However, there are many more occasions where you can wear this combo: a casual date, an online zoom meeting and a quick shopping sesh with the girls. Cheers to another look made up with clothes that you already own!

Shorts & a trench coat?

Uhh yes! Give me a pair of cool shorts and a trench coat and I’m ready to walk out the door this season. Do you want to show your legs until winter comes up? Surely, this is a very quick outfit to put together and get a bit more wear out of your shorts this season. Give this a try and tag me  on Instagram @notagirlygal in your posts.

Leather jackets & dresses

This is such a simple, yet super effective way to transition between Summer to Autumn. Just add a leather jacket to your favourite dress and you’ve come up with a tres chic outfit for the season. Make sure you’re wearing heels to accentuate your silouhette – if you wear too much in your upper part and wear flats, it might look unbalanced. Have you tried this combo before?

Transition Outfits: Knitwear & skirts

This combination is one of my favourites. It seems that often designers go for this combo in their collections. I’m hooked on this. You have to try wearing your favourite knit with a mini or midi-skirt and see where it takes you. I’m sure you’ll absolutely nail this look.

Hello my gorgeous ladies,

Autumn has arrived with its rusty leaves, heavy raindrops, pumpkin spice lattes, candles, but also beautiful knitwear that you can happily wear while strolling around the city. The best news is that you can start wearing your soft knits and skirts together! It’s the perfect combination, which you can only embrace during this time of the year. Get ready to get my best tips on how to wear cropped knitwear in Autumn 2018 and get your outfits to the next level. Grab your hot drink now … and let’s look into it.

Cowl Neck Cropped jumper Crazy about Autumn colours? Amazing! There’s no better time to start wearing mustard tones, grey, dark orange or nude shades. It’s the first time when I embrace Autumn and I’m excited about everything it brings. I can’t believe the colder months will very soon come upon us, but that’s the perfect excuse to start wearing gorgeous knitwear pieces. My top picks right now? The amazing Femme Luxe knitwear collection! Femme Luxe proposes us a new way to embrace the cold season, walking us through the fall and winter’s must haves right on their collection page.

Take me to Paris Outfit

This outfit is so romantic, hence the Paris reference in the title. Imagine wearing this while on a Seine cruise followed by a picnic near the Eiffel Tower on a late September afternoon. Don’t you love dreaming about places you can wear your outfits to? (Until you get there of course).

Femme Luxe Mustard Front Twist Jumper

As you know, I am always looking for upgrading my outfits in a way or another. The stars of this outfit are the Femme Luxe Mustard Front Twist Jumper and the New Look Leather Skirt.  Let me tell you, the jumper is so comfortable and keeps me really warm even if it’s cropped. You should definitely check out their website as their items have amazing prices and great quality. I feel that while we still can, we should wear more crop tops as we don’t have to wrap ourselves in bulky jumpers now!

These pieces look amazing together – and from my point of view it wouldn’t look complete without the white shirt underneath the jumper. You can rock this outfit with heeled boots or over the knee boots for feeling sexy.  Overall, this outfit is giving me Gossip Girl vibes.

Femme Luxe Mustard Front Twist Jumper

Quick Styling Tips: Add cool accessories to your autumn outfits because you’ll make wonderful outfits that stand out a lot! I went for a mustard New Look hairband which goes perfectly with the Femme Luxe jumper. I feel that some portrait earrings would have been a cool addition too.

Autumn Glow Outfit

This one if for those sunny days in Autumn where you wake up rather late and decide to go out for a walk. I’m usually very busy on weekends with blog work to juggle and any socialising I’m planning to do. However, I love the idea of an Autumn walk where you recharge after a busy week. And us fashionistas, can’t live without a cute outfit, so why not put our best skills forward to dress up for any occasion, especially when it’s the weekend and we got that extra time?

Femme Luxe Cowl Neck Cropped jumper

What makes this outfit more casual and street style is the leather jacket on top. I love pairing a cropped jumper with autumn skirts and the Cowl Neck Cropped jumper goes so well in this combination. The jumper is really comfy and its long sleeves make me love it. The New Look checked skirt‘s colours are just perfect for the jumper and ah the belt detail makes me go crazy about this outfit. Add a pair of sunglasses and honey, you’re ready to shine.

Quick Styling Tip: You want your skirt to be body con when you’re wearing loose jumpers. I’m starting love wearing Autumn outfits, can’t you tell?

Here they are…the two outfits that will soon become my go to outfits for this season. I really hope that you found inspiration in today’s post and that you’ll be soon getting your knits on Femme Luxe.

This post is sponsored by Femme Luxe, as always all words and opinions are my own.

When the pumpkin latte arrives at Starbucks, that’s how you know it’s officially Autumn. We’re getting cosy & comfy today with one outfit you need to wear in Autumn 2018. Grab a coffee and your outfit planner and let’s have some styling fun.

You’ve seen these prints on Pinterest and Instagram and to be fair, I feel like a good old checked print sets the mood for Autumn. As well as all the other bits: autumn candles, rusted leaves, chestnuts and pumpkin cupcakes. I wanted to fully embrace this season, so I did a little shopping of candles, cupcake trays and other pieces of decoration for my house last weekend – I did a quick haul on my Instagram stories @notagirlygal.

Getting cosy: One Outfit You Need to Wear in Autumn 2018

There are a lot of combinations you can choose and think about while creating a patterned outfit Autumn look. You can go for dresses worn on top of jumpers, checked skirts and white shirts or checked vests on top of a (really) autumnal outfit.

I chose this classic print because I assume that all of you have a checked printed piece of clothing at home waiting for you to style it. As the checked item will represent the main piece in your outfit, you would like the other pieces not to stand out as much as the others.

TIP: Go for Earthy colours such as nudes and maroons to make the patterned piece steal the show.

 Time for the perfect accessories

It’s Autumn: your perfect excuse to go big on accessories! I love wearing hats, berets, big earrings and watches.

The elegant watch I am wearing is the Viol by Obaku (a Danish brand just launching in the U.K) – I love how the watch comes in the same colour of my jeans. It looks so fragile on my wrist, I think that’s what makes it elegant. If you’re looking for a simple watch this season, keep close as I will be running a giveaway soon!

The beret just makes this outfit so chic – I got this one from Paris from a cute boutique.

Earring wise, I think H&M are smashing it with their collections – these ones are from Holister, but I haven’t been in there for a while now.

 Alternatives to hats

If hats are not really your thing, a sleek ponytail is always cool to wear in autumn. From my point of view, top knots and ponytails work so beautifully with scarves of any kind: small, big or even knitted.

Talking about knits, I feel that I’ve been getting on to my knitted stuff lately. I just like Autumn fashion because it’s more than just wearing a dress – it’s the art of layering that makes me enjoy creating outfits for both my blog and everyday wear. I guess it’s the same for all of fashion lovers out there.

What outfits are you loving this season? Let me know below!

Andrada

Hello there my lovelies,

You might think that this grey sky shows no mercy to our outfits, but that doesn’t mean we can’t pull off amazing clothes, just like we did last season. I had a bit of a rough time adapting to the season, but after all, I’m happy that I have autumnal items to play with. With that said, right now we’re styling a super easy to wear cocktail shirt that you can wear in the evenings.

I’ve been on the Madison house rooftop with my boyfriend and a couple of good friends on a really sunny September evening. Aperol Spritz and funky music were calling my name while I was dancing on the terrace. We had such a great time that I now call it my favourite place in London.

Upgrading your Autumn Outfits in 2018!

Shoot in that exclusive location, today’s outfit has one special item that I was looking for since a while now. It’s that one thing we all need in our closet, but I just didn’t find the right one: a long shirt. You probably have a rough idea that I’m a big fan of shirts – any shape or length…even better if the shirt is white. What you don’t know is that I also love feathers. So, what happens if I find these two elements in one item? Exactly! Nirvana!

The best way of wearing the long shirt (the trick you need to know)

You’ll find that the best ways of wearing a long shirt is belted. I mean, long shirts are quite loose and of course as longs as I don’t expect them to be body con, I at least want them to look a bit more body hugging. I find long shirts to have an irregular shape that doesn’t look that great without the belt that adds dimension to your body. Search for a medium wide waist belt and get ready to sip on that cocktail with your girlfriends.

What I love about this outfit, is that you can wear any shoes with it. I mean any of these will look amazing: boots, knee-high boots, heeled boots, stilettos, wedges. I would recommend to select your shoes depending on the location you will choose for going out. If you go to a nice rooftop bar, you want to choose the boots or stilettos and leave your Creepers for going out in Camden. You certainly get my drift here, right? From my point of view, shoes can change an outfit so much!

IMG_3642

Keeping warm: You can certainly add a nude trench coat on top of it in case it’s a bit cold.

When it comes to your hair, considering that the outfit is quite boy-ish, I would totally go for curls. I like keeping my hair wavy – I love that effortless waves that shout ‘I woke up like this’.
