Are you ready to revamp your wardrobe? Keep on reading 🙌🏻
1. 90’s Denim
Denim came back in trend a while ago. However, this year the big fashion houses have stopped trying to adapt jeans for today and have started releasing 90’s jeans instead.
It’s such a must have this winter. Denim jeans can be styled for many looks. You can be stylish, trashy or even classy. It’s all about how you want to accessorise your outfit.
A cool styling idea for 90’s jeans is to get a fur coat on top. Not only will you become Carrie Bradshaw for a day, but you’ll feel like a true New Yorker in a hurry. Fashionable, yet cosy! 😉
2. Geometric shapes
Triangles, squares, rectangles and alternative lines. These are just some of the geometric shapes that are part of Winter Fashion Trends 2022. We’ve noticed that this year, many designers are opting for prints showing geometric shapes. These prints are placed on t-shirts, jeans, shirts, but most often on jackets be it long coats or trench coats.
You will feel creative, fashionable and different! I think that’s the main reason why I love this trend.
You can wear geometric prints in absolutely any circumstance and you will absolutely have confidence that you’re fashionable!
3. Glam it up
Feathers, fringe, pearls, diamonds and chains. These are just a few of the accessories you can find on dresses and garments. Glam is back. Get ready to tackle plenty of extravagant and eccentric outfits, because 2022 is the perfect year. Both high end and low end brands are adapting! We can find lace, satin, corset and sequin dresses among the hangers. Who knows?
The point is, it’s time to prepare your wardrobe for the upcoming events! Do you already know what you’re wearing for New Year’s Eve? 😉
4. Faux Leather
From trousers to vests, dresses and jackets, leather garments are an absolute Winter Fashion Trend 2022. The thing I love most when it comes to clothing pieces made from leather is the attitude they help you adopt. I suppose everyone feels like they can achieve anything when they wear faux leather. Besides, when you add leather to your outfit you will give it an expensive and very stylish look. Isn’t that amazing?
5. Office Wear
I suppose this trend came about because of people who simply want to dress up and go back to work. I love how all women have started wearing men’s suits and adapting them for their tastes and needs. Thus, suits in 2022 are sexy, empowering and more. Are you ready to rock this years fashion trends in high heels and sexy suits? Well, I for one am and trust me when I say that I can’t wait to finally dress office again!
All things considered, this Winter has many trends prepared for us. Which one is your absolute favourite? I can’t wait to hear all of your answers in my Instagram DM’s ( @notagirlygal ).
Women empowerment is one of the most powerful movements in 2021. It’s so important to make every single lady around us to feel confident and appreciated. My entire blog is focused on women empowerment and development. Also, many of you might know that I’m a fashionista at heart. Therefore, I decided to share a little secret with you. How to use fashion to feel confident.
First of all, fashion and emotions have always been somehow connected. I think fashion is one of the most common ways of expressing ourselves. By using colours, prints, patterns and clothes you can show your interests and personality type. Wouldn’t it be amazing if you could learn how to be more confident with fashion?
Well, if that sounds interesting enough for you, read on!
Find your personal style
Everyone fits into a certain Fashion Pattern. Depending on the music you listen to, the films you enjoy watching, the books you read, you can easily define your personal style. For example, some people prefer colourful outfits and others prefer all black outfits. In fact, some people dress in the specific style of certain eras (the 00’s, the 90’s …).
The point is that once you find your style, your self-confidence will start to grow. Why? It’s simple, you’ll feel like yourself. As long as you feel good and find pieces of yourself in your outfits, your self-confidence and positive vibe will come naturally.
Finding your style might sound difficult. However, the journey itself is unforgettable. Start with creating a mood board using different inspirational pictures. You can look for inspiration on Instagram, Pinterest or Tumblr. Once you’re done, observe all these styles until you find the one that represents you the most. All this research can take a while, so brew a coffee and immerse yourself into the beauty of defining your personal style!
Walk, walk fashion baby
As Lady Gaga said, you have to hold your head up high and walk like the whole world is your runaway ! Walking can make a tremendous difference to the way people look at you. If you’re surrounded by people who look at you with admiration, your self-confidence will boost.
As for fashion and how it can help you – let’s talk about heels! Platforms, stilettos, wedges, peep toes, ankle straps. There are countless pairs of heels that can stand out in the crowd. For example, a pair of black stilettos will make you look elegant and classic. Your vibe will be straight out of a film noir! However, sandals and heels with interesting appliqués will bring your creativity out.
Therefore, high heels have an impact on your posture, vibe and style – they will significantly increase your confidence level.
Having a problem with colours?
Many people tend to feel quite insecure while wearing colours. If you happen to fit into this category, these pieces of advice are for you. Neutral colours such as white, black, nude are not only easier to accessorise and match but they might help you with your confidence. It’s a fact that most of the people tend to feel more like themselves and to be confident while wearing black for example. Considering that I’m a women empowerment blogger, my suggestion for you is to chose the colours that make you feel empowered.
All this colour theory will help you dress the way you feel. If you’re heading out in town on an evening, you can go for an all black outfit. However, put on red heels or lipstick in order to make a statement. Red mixed with black will always be a classic and elegant option. You will not only feel comfortable, but you’ll also rock your fit and be in the spotlight.
All things considered, you CAN use fashion in order to boost your confidence. It’s important to feel like yourself and to be comfortable in your own clothes. It doesn’t really matter how you approach your style, after all, it’s important that YOU like your aesthetic. Embrace your uniqueness and walk your way to confidence! Fashion trends will always come and go. But this Autumn, they are classy, a bit sassy, modern but still somehow vintage… they’re absolutely amazing! When I started my shopping spree for Fall I realised that I literally wanted to buy everything (GUILTY!).
I love that simplicity and minimalism are finally back. Have you seen the ‘Back to the Office’ collections? I scrolled and scrolled and kept seeing elegant and stylish items I’d love to wear at least once.
Another thing that I love about this year is that women are finally 100% encouraged to wear suits. Of course, I love dresses, who doesn’t? But I also like to try something new. A suit can make a woman look so strong and confident! It’s amazing how fashion can make you feel, right?
Let’s skip the chit chat and get to serious the business, shall we? You’re here to discover the best 10 fashiontrends this year after all! Continue reading and see which pieces you’d like to have in your wardrobe.
1. Cowboy Boots 👢
I’ve recently visited one of the world’s fashion capitals – Rome. Well, I promise you that every stylish woman there owned a pair of cowboy boots! Not only they are extremely comfortable, but they can totally be the statement piece you need to complete your look this Autumn. As I told you before and you might already feel the same, fashion trends usually come and go. However, cowboy boots were also a trend back in the day. I still know people that loved wearing them even if they weren’t as popular as how they used to be.
I actually believe that these boots were always a classy pair you must have in your wardrobe. Not only you can style them in as many outfits as you can think of, but their history makes them more special.
You can wear them with dresses, leather pants, blue jeans or shorts. You can transform your casual look in a casual chic look in seconds.
White hats are also kind of classic. However, people love wearing beige and Earth tones these days. If you enjoy these, I suggest you try to change things a little bit and go for a white hat. If you choose a similar one to the one I’m wearing in the picture, you’ll see how well structured and refined your whole appearance will become.
Also, white hats are an amazing piece if you want to go for a monochromatic look. Just imagine how beautiful an all white outfit will be in an Autumn landscape.
However, if you plan on going out in the evening you can try a black and white look. The hat will be the cherry on top. After all, accessorising is everything! 😉
I love that this Autumn’s fashion trends encourage women all over the world to wear suits. A suit can easily make you feel confident and powerful. Casual but also very elegant, suits are perfect for any occasion. You can go to office and look fresh out of a magazine and also go out in the evening and feel sexy.
For example, the suit in the picture is perfect for both occasions. It all depends on how you accessorise it. If you’d like to wear it to the office, you can wear a clean white top underneath. However, if you’d like to wear it in the evening, a lace bodysuit or bralette will look amazing!
The old money aesthetic is one of the new fashion trends this fall. Therefore, vests are an amazing piece of clothing you can own this Autumn. Vests can also be very casual and warm for cold autumn days. However, you can make your fit look very expensive and vintage if you decide wearing this item.
Also, you have so many options for outfits. You can wear sweaters, long sleeves, chemises and so many more blouses underneath.
Make your fits look fashionable with a vest like this one.
You literally have so many options when it comes to silk dresses. I absolutely love how well they can make your body look. There are also many styles you can try with silk dresses. For example, you can wear a long sleeved top underneath and also cover yourself up with a trench coat. I’ve also seen lots of influencers and celebrities that love wearing knee high boots with long silk dresses. You’ll look absolutely stunning and fashionable and your fit will also still be warm enough for the colder days that are yet to come 🙂
7. Blazers ✔️
I believe dark green looks amazing in the Fall landscape and it’s also a fun & different colour option for a blazer. Elegant and really classy, a blazer will complete your look anytime during Autumn. You can go for a casual fit and style it with jeans and a plain t-shirt. Also, a blazer goes amazing with office trousers and heels. So many options, right?
Also, if you ever decide buying this piece, you won’t have to worry about finding your statement piece because this is the one. You can literally wear an all black outfit and still look very trendy if you decide to put a blazer on. What do you think about this?
8. Leather loafers ⭐️
Loafers are still trending this season. If you ever feel tired to wear heels, but still want to have an elegant look, loafers are your best option. You can style them with most of your office clothes. They look amazing with trousers but also with jeans. Personally, I like how leather loafers look whilst paired with a trench coat – the most Parisian look ever. Put your red lipstick on and be the powerful woman you are.
9. Tweed skirts ❤️
Chanel set the tone a few years back and showed us the elegance and beauty of tweed skirts. For example, the this red skirt’s fabric is perfect for Autumn. It will keep you warm as much as a skirt can. Personally, I love how confident can the red colour make a woman look. Your fit will be in the spotlight, I promise!
When it comes to skirts, you can also chose either an elegant or a casual look. Remember that it’s up to you and the place you’re heading to!
10. Corsets/Bodysuits 💛
Well, of course I had to mention corsets. These are like the trendiest pieces this Fall. You can wear them with suits, like in the example above. Also, you can style them with casual and even baggy jeans if you’re going for a simple and comfortable look. These pieces go well with everything and they are a statement piece you need to have this fall!
All things considered, there are many fashion trends you can follow with this Autumn. However, these ten are my favourites. What are your favourite fashion trends this year? Slide in my Instagram DM’s (@notagirlygal) and let me know.
Putting together outfits can be both a pleasure, but also a tremendous task if left last minute. Browsing through your wardrobe when the least thing you have is time, can be a daunting activity to start your day with. In case you don’t find time to plan your weekly wardrobe as recommended in The Mindset of High Achievers & Habits for Achieving your Desired Fashion Style or you forgot to plan for that day, this article will help you get ready fast. Let’s reveal some top tips for a more fashionable you!
Pick dresses over trousers and tops
Not only dresses are easy to wear, but they can instantly make you look fabulous. I would suggest keeping your dresses (in both causal and smart style) on hangers, so anything you would pick can be suitable for what you might have planed for the day ahead: important meeting in the office / casual day. I unconsciously timed myself lately, as I keep on wearing dresses. It takes me about 5 minutes to pick up my dress and shoes! I’m seriously thinking to do a closet tour for you so it would be better to capture the way my wardrobe is organised, so let me know if you would like to see that in future posts?
What goes on top?
If I have a meeting, then I will wear a smart blazer on top of my office dress. If I have to spend the day in the office, I will swap that for my leather jacket. I keep a blazer and a leather jacket on the hanger near my front door. In that way, I just grab my top layer and leave!
Outfit Option One: The Head Turner
No lie, I have turned to many heads with this outfit. And so many random compliments (not only the ‘hey, beautiful’ ones, but genuine ones too). I really believe that a bright colour can make you look super put together and adds that glow on you as well!
Shoes wise, the perfect shoe for me are combat boots. They go with everything. I love the effect they have on my legs when I’m wearing a dress or shorts. Summer, autumn, winter – no matter the season, I’ll be wearing them. And you should too! What’s not to love about them?
Outfit Option Two: Office Confidence Boost
Lately I’ve been having meetings with important clients in central London (I also work in digital marketing), so under no circumstance I could be wearing my combat boots there.
For these type of meetings, I no longer plan my outfits ahead, but just open up my wardrobe since I have so well organised. One morning, I tried this dress and picked up a nicely cut blazer. Done! Without the fuss of choosing three different items. You can do it too.
To wrap things up, having dresses on the hanger and shoes ready saves up precious time in the morning. You’d feel more organised and instantly more fashionable! When something becomes our second nature, inevitably we feel successful. Ready to feel successful? Try out my tips!
Top Time Saving Style Tip: If you have to wear make-up that day (I don’t wear make-up on a day to day basis as I often go to the gym), take it with you and just apply it at some point during the day. Least thing you want is waking up 40 minutes earlier to do your make-up. Time waste!
