With its beautiful colours, blooming flowers, warm weather and endless outfit possibilities, summer is making its way to the United Kingdom. As the Brits love the sun (and not only) just as much as the bees love pollen, you can expect lots of good vibes on the streets and a fashion freedom that sometimes can be taken to the extremes. I’ve taken a step back from the long pattern dresses and midi skirts that are trending right now, making girls look like farm keepers (everyone is really free to wear whatever, but this trend is not for me). If you’re done with that look, I’m proposing you a summer outfit that you have to try out now by using clothes you already have in your wardrobe!

Search your wardrobe for work shirts

We all have shirts that we wear to business meetings or more corporate events (do you love this word too?) and it would be a fashion waste not to wear them outside work, obviously styled in a different way. Buttons up is not compulsory, so you can show off a shoulder or both to make the blouse look more casual. Simply unbutton the upper part of your shirt enough so you feel comfortable with it on your shoulder/s and tie a knot at the bottom.

Last summer’s favourite shorts

Remember your favourite shorts from last summer? Pull them out of the bag and pair them with your just styled shirt. Go for white shorts: they’ll give you a more stylish vibe. It took me a while to start wearing white, so if you’re having second thoughts it’s completely understood. However, know this: white is addictive. Soon after I started buying white white and white items.

Your Elegant Flats

As you’re wearing a business casual shirt, go for elegant flats instead of your beloved converses. I’ve found this gem of a pair in an outlet in Bordeaux and fallen in love immediately with its front bow detail. If you happen to have some elegant flats that you think will go well in this combination, why not wear them instead buying a new pair? I’ve however linked at the end of the article similar items just in case.

Oh, hello shiny earrings! It can be argued that this pair of earrings is suitable for evening wear. I say, just have fun with it and incorporate some elegant (colourful) earrings into this outfit because the flats and shirt really allow for it. It’s summer – fashion rules still apply, but we can be more flexible, can’t we? Statement earrings are the way this summer.

Straw bags

Straw bags have been a hit last summer – glossy magazines shown them in all shapes and sizes & fashion websites and fashion bloggers were vowing for them too. I recently got my first one and indeed they’re so cute to wear. Let’s enjoy summer friendly accessories while we still can. Just be careful with your valuable items inside the bag – usually these bags don’t come with a zip.

Hello there summer lovers,

Have you started packing for your holiday yet, or are you at the booking stage now? Either way, don’t forget to throw in your bag an absolute gem of an outfit that will make you feel incredible and look like you’re ready to have the best time in the burning sun. You’re in the perfect place because I’m now sharing one Summer outfit that you need to wear on next holiday.

What do you think about ruffles in general? But what about ruffles on holiday? I have to say, I’m a huge huge believer in ruffles and statement blouses. They can make up an outfit in seconds. I absolutely adore wearing special items and I can’t believe how quickly I can create new styles using blouses in different textures and fabrics.

For this look, I went for a white top that goes so well with high waist jeans. The top shows cleavage without showing too much. You can go for different colours or keep it simple in white. Find my top here. The jeans I’m wearing are actually my mother’s (authentic mum’s jeans here) that a designer friend of mine helped me rip. I’m absolutely positive that you can find a pair in your mother’s wardrobe or find a really cool pair in a vintage boutique.

Don’t forget about wearing accessories – it’s a go hard or go homie, know what I mean?

I went for a beautiful pair of earrings that my friend Adriana kindly gifted me. They’re just making the whole look more interesting, find similar here. You can easily create different summer outfits for your holiday if you have the right accessories to hand. Go through your jewellery chest now and pick at least three pairs of earrings, two bracelets and some rings. You’ll then lay your accessories and outfits on your bed and start playing mix & match. Fun guaranteed.

To complete the outfit, I choose this gold belt which I pretty much wear with everything (even as I’m typing this – with a different outfit because the weather is bad again, surprise surprise!). You can find similar here.

Shoes wise, I began to wear low heeled shoes and I feel amazing. My combat boots no longer stay with me everyday of the year. I picked a special pair of red sandals I found in a shop in Bordeaux called Etam. You can find a similar pair here if you live somewhere else in Europe or the States.

One Summer Outfit You Need to Wear on Your Next Holiday missandrada.jpg

Wear this beautiful outfit on rooftops, at beach parties or anywhere you want to make a statement during your holiday. This outfit makes me think of myself in Spain or Latin America drinking Sangria on the beach watching the sunset with Andrei, especially when worn with a red lipstick on. So, if they’re on your bucket list, you know what to wear on your next holiday.

Don’t forget to subscribe to my email list by clicking on the right hand column and keep up with more summer outfits to come. I’m currently preparing some more beautiful outfits and I can’t wait for you to see them and start wearing them.

With all the holiday talk, I forgot to ask, where are you going on holiday this summer?

Lots of love,

NotAGirlyGal

Hello my lovelies,

I’m always on the hunt of outfits I can create with different pieces of clothes I can find in my wardrobe. It’s really rare when I do a big shop of items because luckily enough, I do own a considerable amount of clothes. However, this doesn’t mean I don’t love shopping and getting new stuff in (we all do to be fair), but I’ve managed to find my balance. With that being said, today I’m going to create my own co-ord while exploring the beautiful streets of Bodreaux. Come join me in the most French town, outside Paris.

The first thing to consider when creating your co-ord is the fabric of the two pieces. Are they the same type? If they’re not, do they look amazing together? It’s really important that they create a stunning unit. Otherwise, your outfit will not look like a co-ord. Other than that, as a general ‘rule’ co-ords do have a specific detail – either on the sleeves or the pants, like shown in the pictures below.

For my outfit, I have chosen this a Zara blouse/jacket and a pair of black Calvin Klein  trousers made out of a less tick fabric and they blend with the top really well. Your next goal now is to look out for clothes that have some nice details – in my case, we have the beautiful embroidery on the top.

how to create your own co-ord.jpg

These are the two simple ‘rules’ you need to follow when creating your own co-ord: matching fabrics and ensure you have some stunning details going on. This outfit is perfect for your city breaks this Spring. I’ve visited Bordeaux while wearing this outfit: it was so easy to walk around the city in it, but also my Instagram pictures turned out amazing! Make sure you follow me at @notagirlygal for updates on outfits, women empowerment posts & real life Insta stories (my absolute faves).

My Top Three Things to Do in Bordeaux

Have your morning coffee and dessert at Boulangerie Hotel de Ville.

DSC_0191.JPG

The Capuccino is spot on and the cakes are absolutely delicious! The decor inside is really traditional and it took me back to old France. You’ll love it there.

Visit Marche de Capucins (Food Market) and eat a Sea Food ‘Boat’

Top Three Things to Do in Bordeaux.jpg

This is a boat for one person – it includes oysters, shells, homar & shrimps. I loved this meal so much, I’m sure I’ll remember the experience I had while visiting the market. The place was clean and everything was beautifully decorated.

Take the train 50 min and visit Arcachon

Top Three Things to Do in Bordeaux Arcachon NotAGirlyGal.jpg

Visit Arcachon, the Ocean resort next to Bordeaux. I went on a boat trip and it was so much fun (I should have brought a jacket because I caught a cold afterwards, but the views were worth it haha). Watch the sunset to end the day in the most beautiful way.

Where are you travelling to this summer and will you wear co-ords? 🙂

Lots of love,

Oh, beautiful France! I’ve just returned from an impromptu visit to Bordeaux and I had an absolute amazing time from sipping coffee on pretty terraces, observing people’s fashion, enjoying the so popular red wine (in its traditional town) to creating content for my blog and social channels. While packing my luggage, I’ve came across different styles of wearing blazers this season and decided I have to try this particular one out! Let’s find out how to best wear your blazers and jeans this season.

Hourglass shaped body?

What I like to do, especially with black blazers is to create a perfect hourglass body shape by wearing a narrow belt around my waist. I don’t normally have a preference when it comes to where the belt is positioned, but in this combination, you want to make sure that the belt is tight enough on your waist (don’t wear this for a bottomless Prosecco brunch though) to create that hourglass shape. When it comes to the perfect belts, my favourite brand is by far Mango – their quality is amazing, although sometimes I might look out for belts in Zara too.

how to wear jeans and blazers missandrada notagirlygal.jpg

Where to wear Blazers & Jeans

Depending of where you plan to wear this outfit to, you can choose to wear a black top underneath or a hidden bra for a sexier look. I went for a top underneath my blazer (find similar here) as I was going for a wine tasting and it felt more appropriate for the occasion. I would probably go for the other option on a different occasion such as cocktail party or a rooftop event at night. If you’re visiting Bordeaux, you can’t miss the stunning Wine Museum – expect a history rich experience and some delicious wine too. The views from there are simply breathtaking, so I would definitely recommend to bring your camera to take some pictures for the ‘gram – just avoid the crowds because as you can imagine everyone is looking for getting the best shot.

how to wear blazers and jeans notagirlygal missandrada

Now, I’m not the biggest fan of jeans to be honest, but somehow a pair of skinny jeans (find similar here) makes this look really stylish; while a pair of black trousers could potentially ‘destroy’ the look. Just have fun with the items you already have in your wardrobe and come up with a few alternative looks: try checked blazers and jeans or white blazers paired with pale pink jeans!

As I know you love a special occasion to celebrate, it’s English Wine Week! There a few cool options on Virgin Experience Days or Groupon such as Cheese & Wine Tasting Experiences or Countryside Vineyard tours that you can absolutely make the most out of. And no this is not sponsored, I just believe that the outfit can definitely go with the options above and might inspire you to do something different as I’m always on the hunt for unique experiences.

It’s time for a closet tour to create this look – tag me @notagirlygal in your Instagram posts while wearing your take on this outfit, I would love to connect with you.

Until next time,

NotAGirlyGal

Hello my favourite readers,

I came across this article in a magazine recently where they discussed about how important it is for your clothes to match the way you feel. Well, that’s interesting I said to myself! Then, I went away and think about how would this apply to me? I realised that for me, to feel positive and motivated I need clothes to lift me up and empower me rather than match the way I feel. What if I feel lazy and tired? I wouldn’t want to wear things that encourage me to stay in that state of mind, but rather to dress in such a way to push myself forward. That’s the inspiration for today’s article on how to express your positivity through your fashion style. Keep on reading to find out exactly what you need to do to motivate yourself on a day when you don’t feel like doing pretty much anything!

1. Wear the same colour mix

I touched on this in my previous post actually, but wearing a single colour or similar colours really make me feel relaxed and ready to start working on my goals for the day. It’s my little trick of motivating myself in those days when I would rather go to a spa instead, even on weekends.

IMG_0480_Facetune_04-05-2019-19-56-36

2. Give stylish belts a GO

Are you accessorising your outfits frequently? That’s great! I feel like belts are doing so much for an outfit, far more than bracelets or necklaces. The whole vibe changes when I add a belt – especially if it has wide gold elements on it. Try wearing different shapes of belts (narrow or wide) and see which ones work best for different outfits. I would recommend narrow ones for skirts and wide ones for jeans or worn on top of your outwear coat. Get ready to take your outfits to another level.

IMG_6044

3. Wear your hair in a stylish bun

Sometimes a stylish bun is exactly what you need to get your motivation on. For me a bun says ‘I can do this’ louder than hair worn down (unless it’s curly). Who’s with me? 🙋🏻 Put your bun on and expect loads of motivation kicking it. Actually don’t expect it, it’s a mind exercise – imagine it kicking in!

4. Wear your favourite shirt

Wearing your favourite shirt can do wonders to your mood. Wear it when you feel down or unmotivated to feel a little bit happy inside.

5. Say hi to smart shoes!

Hello, beautiful shoes. I know trainers can be comfy and trendy, however I feel like they won’t help your mood. Getting too comfy is not going to boost your motivation, but the opposite. Stay classy and go for smart shoes or sandals over the ‘everyday’ sports shoes.

IMG_0364_Facetune_02-05-2019-20-25-31.jpg

6. Apply a natural glowy make-up (Kourtney K style)

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this video of Kourtney K for Vogue? Love her or hate her, she actually shared some actionable tips in here. I love this natural look and it will just make you feel so fresh! P.S: Try the scrub she made, it’s awesome – I used it on dry lips and worked wonders.

7. Nourish yourself with a protein salad

I love to cook healthy (if it’s under 15 minutes of course) and treat myself to a nice nourishing meal. On a day where I feel down and need something to lift my mood, I would prepare a delicious Salmon or Tuna, Avocado & Spinach Salad and enjoy it to the fullest. It’s not just yummy, but it will also make you feel amazing from inside out as spinach contains Iron, Calcium & Magnesium and salmon is packed with Omega 3 and Selenium that improve brain function & contribute to your neurological health.

IMG_0313_Facetune_04-05-2019-20-09-34.jpg

8.  Listen to your favourite podcast to get you going

I’ve started listening to Podcasts lately when I prepare food or when I put make-up on, instead of the usual background music. One Podcast that inspires me to give my best and constantly work for my goals is the Overnight success by Maria Hatzistefanis – founder of Rodial and Nip&Fab. I admire her so much for not giving up on her dream of establishing a beauty brand and working constantly for six years without seeing profits! That’s what I call a real commitment and dedication. Her podcast is about lifestyle, fitness and tips on achieving success from different entrepreneurs in various industries. If you’re not feeling too motivated, make sure you tune it first thing in the morning while you’re getting ready or on your way to work. It’s a real mood booster for me!

Screen Shot 2019-04-30 at 16.40.15.pngImage: Podcasts.Apple.com

9. Practice Positive Vocabulary

I mentioned the importance of speaking positively in the How to Become Your Most Confident Self | Action your Life Now post, and if you haven’t checked it already,  head over to it and decide for yourself if the power of words can influence your mood. I say, they certainly can 😉

10.  Go for a run

Even if you’re not a runner or a workout fanatic, going for a quick jog will lift you up and make you feel more in control. I moved out recently and I am now making the most out of my backyard by going for a run around the flat buildings & the backyard. It’s such a great therapy for when I’m feeling tense or unmotivated. Since I stopped going to the gym, I have replaced that routine with a run and workout exercises in the garage. Although you mind not feel like it, resit the urge to come up with excuses and just go. You will feel amazing afterwards! I would love to recommend a playlist, but I don’t actually listen to music when I work out, perhaps I should listen to some good tunes to keep me going. Let me know your playlist of choice below, I would love to find out great tunes to make me feel motivated.

IMG_0256_Facetune_30-04-2019-15-39-06.jpg

That’s how to stay motivated and find ways to express your positive self through your style! What other things do you do to get more motivated to achieve your goals?

If you enjoyed this article please shared it on your preferred social channel ❤️

Lots of love,

Andrada

Happy May!

It’s my favourite month of the year! The (slightly) warmer weather, the flowers, happier people and my birthday coming up make me really excited about starting fresh. It might also be the fact that I just moved houses and I feel so much happier in the area as it’s pretty much reminding me of home. I’m looking at the backyard now and the sun rays look so beautiful hitting the leafs and flowers and I can’t help but think about how much I appreciate this place. I’ve also started working out more outside and somehow getting inspired to try different styles in my Spring wardrobe. I also started feeling really good in white dresses and it’s a new feeling for me. What made me rethink some of my fashion choices and how can you wear clothes that show your stylish edge this season? Let’s find out 💫

When I feel happy, I want all my outfits to show that. You know what they say, ‘look good, feel good’, so make that your mantra for the season. I somehow find myself only browsing for white items lately or black (that escalated quickly, right?). I started to enjoy pulling off a more neat look. Don’t you feel more put together when you’re really dressed as ‘less is more’? As much as you might enjoy shopping especially for an occasion, for example holidays prep or a special event, try to wear a new outfit in May for yourself and for your own happiness. As you know, I don’t encourage constant shopping and getting into fast fashion constantly, every now and then it’s totally alright to treat yourself to something new that is going to make you feel amazing!

Feel Good in White Dresses | The Secret You Have to Know to Feel Relaxed

The concept of ‘less is more’ is actually a state of mind and it’s the perfect time to get into when you have lots going on in your life. Dressing like less is more, helps me clear my mind when I’m juggling lots of tasks during the day. What is the secret you need to know to feel relaxed? Well, I guess you know it by now: wear something that will make you feel super neat and ready to nail the day.

Feel Good in White Dresses | The Secret You Have to Know to Feel Relaxed notagirlygal

I bought this white dress as a treat at the beginning of Spring and I love how easy it is to find different occasions to wear it to. This week I was invited to a networking event hosted by Enty App and it was really inspiring to meet different women in business and all share our ideas on jewerlly and fashion.

Your turn now. How are you feeling more relaxed? Does your style reflect the way you feel? Let’s get chatting in the comment section below 🙂

As I was mentioning in my 2019 Peachy Spring Make-up, this Spring I’m not so into pastels. It feels too 2018 for me; you might not feel the same way and it’s really okay. I mean, we all wear whatever makes us feel awesome, but today I really want to show you ONE amazing trend that I absolutely love: MILITARY inspired clothing. Keep on reading and turn the runway into your own outfits! BE aware: this is not your usual Spring outfit.

Alberta Ferretti, Fendi, Givenchy

We can see beautiful textures, worn in different combinations for this Spring. Fashion Houses such as Alberta Ferretti, Fendi and Givenchy released their military inspired collections and all I have to say is that I’m deeply in love with the concept. That’s a proper Not A Girly staple: bold & fearless. Let’s break down this trend and adapt it to our own everyday looks, shall we? 💥

Add different textures to your outfit

One 2019 Spring Trend You Have to Try Now! NotAGirlyGal

I realised this quite recently actually, but adding different textures can take your outfits to the next level. In the military case, you’re looking for a dress or a co-ord that can be accessorised easily. By that I mean wear a belt or jacket on top that’s made out of a different fabric.

I chose a khaki safari dress (find similar here or here) that looks amazing on tanned olive skin. There are loads of options online, you can even type ‘utility dress’ and browse from different pieces. It’s definitely a must have for Spring-Summer!

Make your outfit RUNWAY READY

It’s time to make your outfit look a lot more stylish and turn it into a wearable runway outfit. The easiest way you can do that is to put a cool jacket on top of your dress! I browsed the online stores and found this jacket with pockets for you – it doesn’t have those crazy colours on the back as mine, but I’m sure it will look amazing regardless.

Last details

Add your last details to make your look pop! I’m in LOVE with stylish & high quality sunglasses – the type that makes your look really chic. This Weekend MVTM pair looks gorgeous in the Khaki combination, especially because their reflection turns dark green at times. Wear a watch that is neat and can easily compliment your outfit as you have a lot going on already. This unique design of the Jaded Rose MVTM watch is simply beautiful and it’s made it in my watch top already! This brand is so popular on Instagram and it’s gaining so much momentum because their products have such a good quality! Use the code NOTAGIRLYGAL15 for 15% off when you shop on the MVTM website.

I gifted this to my mum last year, just because she had a similar set when I was little, so it had a deep meaning for us. I think a set of luxury perfumes is a nice addition for the person who already has everything in terms of beauty. You can find this set in airports or online, but I would get it from the airport as it’s faster. Additionally, you can add a bottle of Prosecco or chocolate!

For the fashion lover

Bags are always so loved by fashionistas – you would make them so happy with a bag for sure! You would have to do a bit of research around the type of bags she likes. If you don’t remember exactly, have a look on her social media and start by observing patterns in her bag choices. Does she like small bags or business bags where she can fit her whole life in?

It would be an added bonus to purchase from her favourite brand, just ensure she doesn’t have it already before you place your order. Find a small bag option here and a medium / large one here.

For the shoes addict

I have a friend obsessed with shoes. If you have one as well, then the shoes option is such an excellent idea! You’ll go down in gift history with this one. Similar to the bag idea, ensure you know the type of shoes and brand she prefers. I’ll give you a pair of high heeled shoes, but also a low heel option.

For the beauty addicts

Hello beauty lovers, I salute your beauty rituals. Beauty addicts always love to try new products and always welcome more products to their collection which makes it super easy for us when we’re looking for their perfect gift. Are you a last-minute shopper? Think about offering them a full ritual, from start to finish. Start with make-up removers that your friend will use to ‘take the day off’. Next, consider adding a Lush bath bomb and a face mask to make sure they’ll fully relax. For the wow factor, add in a bottle of Champagne that she can enjoy during her bath. I personally love to drink Champagne in the bath tub, so your friend might as well!

For the book warm

The best Christmas gift you can make a book lover is the book Feel the Fear… but do it anyway by Susan Jeffers. This book will change their lives and encourage their positive thinking, empowering them to become powerful. It clearly had an impact on how I see life and made me moan less and focus on enjoying life instead. We all have two options: to complain or to just go with it & deal with it. The subconscious mind will always listen to the conscious mind, so when you complain or think you’re not good enough, your subconscious mind will believe it. Read this book and discuss it with your friends because it’s truly inspiring. You can gift this book to anyone you’d like to encourage to grow.

Happy Holidays,

NotAGirlyGal 🎄❤️

Hello there,

We’re quickly getting closer to the festive season. As you might guess, I’m excited to feel the frosty air, drink mulled wine and spend the holidays in a really cosy atmosphere. It’s my favourite time of the year! Since I love the season this much I always plan my outfits early to avoid the disappointment of ‘out of stock’ items or just because I prefer not to rush with my decisions. I’ve put together a beautiful collection of festive dresses that you can trust to look amazing in, while you’re enjoying your holiday time. Get the most out of this period of time, just before half of December to ensure you’ll have your outfits ready for the festive events.

Red all the way

Jazz, champagne and a great dancing party. That’s what this dress makes me dream of. Great for the New Year’s Eve, the Red Bardot dress promises a night to remember. The cleavage is just right, making you look sexy without making you look cheap (I could elaborate on the look that we shouldn’t go for, but I’ll just stop here and focus on what looks better from my perspective). I love a to wear red at parties and quite frankly I always remember my statement looks throughout the years. My philosophy is: if you can make an impression, why not? Go for a dress that makes you feel in control, super ready to shine and one that will bring great memories. Have the best New Year Party ever!

White Winter Dream

Such a beautiful piece! This White Midi Dress is simple and really elegant. You’ll feel classy while decorating the carefully picked Christmas tree with the most exquisite decorations. The sleeves are gently falling off shoulders and the upper part of the dress, reveals your bone structure. Now think about your Christmas pictures as well – they will be different and much more likely to be remembered as you’ll be dressed just like a white winter dream. Only picture yourself lighting the fire and sipping champagne while your favourite Christmas carols are on. Red and white are my favourite colours to wear during the season. They might be classic, but they make me feel in line with the atmosphere.

Wear this dress with nude high heels to ensure the attention won’t be drawn from the dress itself. Since the dress has a simple cut, you can wear with black fringe sandals and a glittery bag! You’ll feel absolutely amazing.

This dress is so Jenifer Lopez! I’m sure she’d wear this style – short and super fiesta vibes. I’ve never tried a similar dress before, so I thought New Year’s can be the perfect occasion to do so. I always feel that a special occasion, calls for something different. Don’t you? The fit of the dress is bodycon, flattering your curves rather than doing the opposite. I think that’s a benefit you’re getting with this dress. If you love to dance salsa or any other type of genre, the dress will look fabulous on while you dance the night away. Just make sure you have someone taking some pictures of you during the dance. They might turn out amazing! I would wear this dress for a friend gathering party or at a cocktail bar.

When it comes to shoes, you need to keep them classy because the dress is already doing a lot for you. So, no need for glitter or any statement shoes – let them take the back seat if you’re choosing to wear this dress.

No meetings on the calendar, no events you need to attend but the one that you organise for yourself: a relaxing day where you do just what you want! I recently had one of those and I picked to attend the London Cocktail festival, eat Italian and spend some time at the cool bars at the Shard. For that day I wore something else, but for days when I just have a walk or enjoy my time outside, I have my favourite outfit that I will share with you today. So, what should you wear to make the best out of your casual day?

Shape the season in style

It’s not huge news that everyone goes wild on layering in Autumn. Whilst I feel that layering is important and gives that umpf to your outfit (yes, umpf), I like to keep the layering to a minimum on casual days. Two layers is enough for me to feel like I’m in control of my outfit and nothing will be falling off. Do you ever have that feeling that your three-layer outfit looks good only if you wear it in three layers? What I mean by this is: if I decide to lose one layer during the day because it’s too warm, I feel I destroyed the whole concept. Rest assured, that doesn’t mean I don’t wear layers but I’m just more cautious with it; that type of making sure the outfit is still looking snatched. Take your wardrobe on the layering adventure in times when you’re feeling up for it.

What to wear on a casual day?

Nothing says casual more than a vintage denim shirt! Don’t you think so? It says: I’m relaxed, but super pretty. Taken from a charity shop three years ago, this shirt is my number one love for casual days. So, shop the thrift shops for goodies that last.

Obviously if going for a walk you need something comfy on top of that; as I’m not a massive fan of hoodies and the only one I own is a university branded one, I opted for a vest. It’s my shepherd vest which I love to bits. If anyone has a comment, I just say ‘I’m a shepherd’ and it makes people laugh. Fashion is fun and it’s all about embracing what you love to wear. I would recommend you to be confident and take a stand for the things you want to wear even though they might seem unusual to people. Who cares? It’s you who wears the clothes and if you decide to be fun, then be it.

Consider the fact that if you do quite a bit of walking, your shoes need to comply to the standards. I live in my boots and you know it, but whatever is comfy for you but also makes you feel put together, it’s worth wearing. I’ll let you choose trainers for this – I think it’s the only occasion when I think you can get away with it, besides the gym.

Accessories wise, just keep them to a minimum if you’re looking for comfort. A watch that compliments the outfit and has that ‘borrowed from the boys’ look will make your appearance relaxed, but also stylish. The Obaku Viol Granite watch gives me that feeling of I didn’t put too much effort into looking amazing, but I do. It’s that Swedish minimalist design that makes me absolutely love wearing it.

I hope this outfit gave you a quick look into a casual chic outfit for a day out and about. It was mental health awareness day and I believe the best way of celebrating it is to take time for yourself. A relaxed day where you plan to do exactly what you absolutely love doing is the perfect escape from things that stress us every day. Now that you have the right outfit for it, what are you waiting for?
