You’re probably looking at your screen thinking ‘not another shopping related post’. If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, you probably know that I’m not constantly shopping for new items, but sometimes I think having something new feels good. At the moment, I only buy clothes that are unique and look interesting to me. It’s all in the details, babe, because quite frankly and luckily enough, I don’t need anything else as I’m sure most girls don’t actually need to splurge on fashion every week. A few weeks ago, knowing that my shoe collection wasn’t as strong on the summer side, I’ve decided to get a few pairs (at once), but also get some accessories as well while I was at it. Here we are now, we’re looking at the current must haves for Summer 2019!

Oh, beautiful France! I’ve just returned from an impromptu visit to Bordeaux and I had an absolute amazing time from sipping coffee on pretty terraces, observing people’s fashion, enjoying the so popular red wine (in its traditional town) to creating content for my blog and social channels. While packing my luggage, I’ve came across different styles of wearing blazers this season and decided I have to try this particular one out! Let’s find out how to best wear your blazers and jeans this season.

Hourglass shaped body?

What I like to do, especially with black blazers is to create a perfect hourglass body shape by wearing a narrow belt around my waist. I don’t normally have a preference when it comes to where the belt is positioned, but in this combination, you want to make sure that the belt is tight enough on your waist (don’t wear this for a bottomless Prosecco brunch though) to create that hourglass shape. When it comes to the perfect belts, my favourite brand is by far Mango – their quality is amazing, although sometimes I might look out for belts in Zara too.

Where to wear Blazers & Jeans

Depending of where you plan to wear this outfit to, you can choose to wear a black top underneath or a hidden bra for a sexier look. I went for a top underneath my blazer (find similar here) as I was going for a wine tasting and it felt more appropriate for the occasion. I would probably go for the other option on a different occasion such as cocktail party or a rooftop event at night. If you’re visiting Bordeaux, you can’t miss the stunning Wine Museum – expect a history rich experience and some delicious wine too. The views from there are simply breathtaking, so I would definitely recommend to bring your camera to take some pictures for the ‘gram – just avoid the crowds because as you can imagine everyone is looking for getting the best shot.

how to wear blazers and jeans notagirlygal missandrada

Now, I’m not the biggest fan of jeans to be honest, but somehow a pair of skinny jeans (find similar here) makes this look really stylish; while a pair of black trousers could potentially ‘destroy’ the look. Just have fun with the items you already have in your wardrobe and come up with a few alternative looks: try checked blazers and jeans or white blazers paired with pale pink jeans!

As I know you love a special occasion to celebrate, it’s English Wine Week! There a few cool options on Virgin Experience Days or Groupon such as Cheese & Wine Tasting Experiences or Countryside Vineyard tours that you can absolutely make the most out of. And no this is not sponsored, I just believe that the outfit can definitely go with the options above and might inspire you to do something different as I’m always on the hunt for unique experiences.

It’s time for a closet tour to create this look – tag me @notagirlygal in your Instagram posts while wearing your take on this outfit, I would love to connect with you.

Until next time,

Hello there,

We’re quickly getting closer to the festive season. As you might guess, I’m excited to feel the frosty air, drink mulled wine and spend the holidays in a really cosy atmosphere. It’s my favourite time of the year! Since I love the season this much I always plan my outfits early to avoid the disappointment of ‘out of stock’ items or just because I prefer not to rush with my decisions. I’ve put together a beautiful collection of festive dresses that you can trust to look amazing in, while you’re enjoying your holiday time. Get the most out of this period of time, just before half of December to ensure you’ll have your outfits ready for the festive events.

Red all the way

Jazz, champagne and a great dancing party. That’s what this dress makes me dream of. Great for the New Year’s Eve, the Red Bardot dress promises a night to remember. The cleavage is just right, making you look sexy without making you look cheap (I could elaborate on the look that we shouldn’t go for, but I’ll just stop here and focus on what looks better from my perspective). I love a to wear red at parties and quite frankly I always remember my statement looks throughout the years. My philosophy is: if you can make an impression, why not? Go for a dress that makes you feel in control, super ready to shine and one that will bring great memories. Have the best New Year Party ever!

White Winter Dream

Such a beautiful piece! This White Midi Dress is simple and really elegant. You’ll feel classy while decorating the carefully picked Christmas tree with the most exquisite decorations. The sleeves are gently falling off shoulders and the upper part of the dress, reveals your bone structure. Now think about your Christmas pictures as well – they will be different and much more likely to be remembered as you’ll be dressed just like a white winter dream. Only picture yourself lighting the fire and sipping champagne while your favourite Christmas carols are on. Red and white are my favourite colours to wear during the season. They might be classic, but they make me feel in line with the atmosphere.

Wear this dress with nude high heels to ensure the attention won’t be drawn from the dress itself. Since the dress has a simple cut, you can wear with black fringe sandals and a glittery bag! You’ll feel absolutely amazing.

Red Fringes

This dress is so Jenifer Lopez! I’m sure she’d wear this style – short and super fiesta vibes. I’ve never tried a similar dress before, so I thought New Year’s can be the perfect occasion to do so. I always feel that a special occasion, calls for something different. Don’t you? The fit of the dress is bodycon, flattering your curves rather than doing the opposite. I think that’s a benefit you’re getting with this dress. If you love to dance salsa or any other type of genre, the dress will look fabulous on while you dance the night away. Just make sure you have someone taking some pictures of you during the dance. They might turn out amazing! I would wear this dress for a friend gathering party or at a cocktail bar.

When it comes to shoes, you need to keep them classy because the dress is already doing a lot for you. So, no need for glitter or any statement shoes – let them take the back seat if you’re choosing to wear this dress.

Hope I helped you think about your xmas & party dresses early and start browsing through some pieces that you might have found of interest. May all your dreams for the coming year be fulfilled and may you have the happiest festive season. You can browse the Femme Luxe Finery collection here and pick the best ones for you.

What type of content would you like to see on the blog going forward? Please let me know in the comment section, so I can have a better understanding of things you’d like me to cover in my posts. Do you enjoy seeing outfit options rather than only one outfit?

Hello there,

Areee you ready for some Autumn fashion trends? ME TOO!

Guess what? 70’s colours are back! Roskanda, Miu Miu, Chloe and Isabel Marant are just a few designers that showcased shades of caramel, toffee and beige at AW 18. The little black dress can take the back seat because nude and caramel colours are must haves in a women’s wardrobe this season. I already love this trend and it didn’t take long until I was already in deep research about it. By the end of this article, you’ll feel you want to join the team of caramel lovers.

Curious about how to wear this trend? You can opt for ponchos, knitted dresses and oversized jumpers, but also for elegant T-shirts you can wear with a checked blazer (another must have of the season). And talking about caramel, I would love a caramel latte right now – it will totally complete an Autumn outfit, right?

Wearing Caramel in Autumn 2018

Choosing from a lot of options, can become an actual task, and guessing by how busy all of us are, I am sure that browsing loads of magazines for inspiration is fun at first… but then when it comes to looking for items online, not knowing what to pick can be a bit time consuming. But, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered.

I found myself this simple caramel, but trés chic T-shirt in New Look. Its black edges got me though – a simple t-shirt with a twist. Remember this trick from me: to create a statement outfit, every item should have something that makes it special. Keep your eyes on nice items, even though it’s a simple T-shirt, you never know how it might upgrade your look.

The perfect colour scheme for Autumn’s hottest caramel

You can wear caramel this season by pairing it with black, white, yellow or even dark green. I feel it’s a classic colour that makes a statement of a comeback every time and it’s just a matter of preference and unique personality that dictates on what colour to wear it with. Don’t you?

The Caramel Outfit Checklist

In today’s outfit, I’ve picked black as a complementary colour, because the two look so luxurious together and opted for a faux leather skirt as I know it will keep me warm in early September. The cloche black skirt goes perfectly with the slim T-shirt, because when wearing a ‘baggy’ skirt, you would want your shirt to complement it. Remember what I said about wearing ‘special’ items only? Take a close look at the skirt’s edges –a wonderful embroidery lets the skin be seen through and adds a subtle sexy element to the whole outfit. Get ready to embrace this trend and feel amazing while doing so.

Next…Accessorise it

Let’s take advantage! This is the only time of the year when knee-high boots can be worn with a skirt (from a weather forecast point of view). I love wearing skirts with boots, as the skin gap above the knee makes the outfit stand out more. You have to try this in Autumn!Miss Andrada Autum Trends 2018 .jpg

I am wearing:

Faux Leather Skirt by Beloved

Above the knee boots by Dune

Cat eye sunglasses by New Look

Handbag by Guess

Thank you very much for reading! I hope you now love this trend just as much as I do and inspired you while shopping for the new season. Let’s connect on Instagram – I love to see different styles!

Heya,

Hold back the layering for now! We can still play around with our summer wardrobe, although I know, one fresh ‘autumn full of clothes’ closet is waiting for you. Well, let it wait a little bit more, because today we’re looking at adapting your summer style to early autumn.

Adapting your summer wardrobe

Let’s talk about what you can actually keep from your summer wardrobe.  My one and only rule: if you’re not feeling cold while wearing it, it’s acceptable to wear in fall. I am usually cold in sheer tops in early September, but I’ve seen other women feeling comfortable in them. It’s all in how you feel. In my case, I will keep blouses that have fabrics that will keep me a bit warm, to avoid wearing other layers. And with all the heat we’ve got in summer, I feel like I can face the weather challenges of September without embracing the onion style since the beginning. Ah, and your sunglasses are still a must!

miss andrada transition outfit september.jpgmiss andrada early september.jpg

Next… transform it?

It might be just me, but statement jewellery goes amazingly well with autumn outfits. I’m not wearing a lot of big jewels in summer because it’s way too hot sometimes. Autumn outfits can get a bit similar but I always save them by wearing a nice piece like this one below. Pretty cool, right? You will notice that by the jewellery you’re adding, the outfits will completely change.

miss andrada september transition outfit.jpgmiss andrada sepe.jpg

Make-up for Autumn

A hint of dark blush, a bit of highlight and most importantly dark lips = my secret recipe for autumn make-up. I even gave up my eye wing for it. Can you believe this? You can even choose nudes and a peachy make-up!

Besides wearing the boyfriend ripped jeans, I don’t wear blue jeans anymore. I opt for black skinny jeans over them at any time and I like to get new ones for the new season, so they look fresh and ready to go. One suggestion that I have is try to buy them in the summer sale – they are way cheaper and you only need them one month later.

TIP

Keep your colours fun – one of the highlights of Autumn Fashion from AW18 is that bold colours are back on trend. I will make a post on that soon 🙂

Thank you for very much for reading! Hope it was fun to explore transition outfits from summer to fall, together!

Love,

The dresses and outfits women wear around the city this summer are making you wonder ‘How can they wear these so easily?’ or ‘I don’t think I could pull off that colour’? It’s not about wanting to look like them, but maybe it’s their confidence that you admire. Today, I’ll give you 5 amazing tips on how to feel super confident while dressing in your own way!

How to feel confident in whatever you wear

Own that colour by knowing you’re admired and don’t mind the envious stare

Let’s assume you love to wear an unique colour. Don’t mind the stare at all. Some people might appreciate your outfit and not show it, or show it in a wrong way. Although more and more women stared to show appreciation to other women, not all of them do. We still get that envy look sometimes, but it’s important for you to know that the envy comes from their inner frustration. They will may or may not realise that they’re not happy with themselves and that the feeling of envy (also linked with physical pain in our brains) is really harmful to them. As easy as it sounds, just don’t mind envious stares and only focus on feeling like yourself in that colour. Why wear only the ‘trending’ colours just to fit in if you would rather go for a different one?

miss andrada how to feel confident in what you wear.jpg

Take pictures in your chosen outfit when you’re going out to fall deeply in love with it

Are you loving your outfit? Perfect, that’s what I love to hear. But you’re still unsure if it looks great on you? My top tip would be to wear it when you have your favourite drink by the river or in a fabulous spot and take some pictures in it from different angles. You might be surprised by how much you actually believe in that outfit. Sometimes, staring at your mirror just isn’t enough. I have the example right here, when I first saw this dress at a Spanish Boutique on the hanger, I wasn’t super sure about it. I then tried it on and was a bit more convinced. It wasn’t until I’ve seen it in pictures that I felt in love with it. It’s now one of my favourite dresses in my wardrobe – such a statement here!

miss andrada 5 tips on how to have confidence in what you wear

Get your best friend’s opinion

Sometimes, the confidence boost is coming from the friends that we trust. They’ll be honest with you and you can choose to listen or not. Just guessing that you should in this case, as it can help you made up your mind if you’re unsure. So, asking a friend for feedback is definitely helpful!

Keep telling yourself you’re powerful and beautiful

200.gif

I’ll let Tyra tell you more with her sassy snap. The truth is that you need to be your own best friend and back yourself up every single day! You need to be your biggest supporter in every decision you take style or life wise. Feeling confident is sexy!

Make your style your signature

If you’re working out a style that represents your personality, you’re never going to feel insecure. It will be 100% your signature and no one can or should tell you it’s not suitable. If you believe in yourself, everyone else will as well. You can always count on that.

What is that one thing that makes you believe in yourself more? Let me know below ❤️

Putting together outfits can be both a pleasure, but also a tremendous task if left last minute. Browsing through your wardrobe when the least thing you have is time, can be a daunting activity to start your day with. In case you don’t find time to plan your weekly wardrobe as recommended in The Mindset of High Achievers & Habits for Achieving your Desired Fashion Style or you forgot to plan for that day, this article will help you get ready fast. Let’s reveal some top tips for a more fashionable you!

Pick dresses over trousers and tops

Not only dresses are easy to wear, but they can instantly make you look fabulous. I would suggest keeping your dresses (in both causal and smart style) on hangers, so anything you would pick can be suitable for what you might have planed for the day ahead: important meeting in the office / casual day. I unconsciously timed myself lately, as I keep on wearing dresses. It takes me about 5 minutes to pick up my dress and shoes! I’m seriously thinking to do a closet tour for you so it would be better to capture the way my wardrobe is organised, so let me know if you would like to see that in future posts?

What goes on top?

If I have a meeting, then I will wear a smart blazer on top of my office dress. If I have to spend the day in the office, I will swap that for my leather jacket. I keep a blazer and a leather jacket on the hanger near my front door. In that way, I just grab my top layer and leave!

Outfit Option One: The Head Turner

No lie, I have turned to many heads with this outfit. And so many random compliments (not only the ‘hey, beautiful’ ones, but genuine ones too). I really believe that a bright colour can make you look super put together and adds that glow on you as well!

Shoes wise, the perfect shoe for me are combat boots. They go with everything. I love the effect they have on my legs when I’m wearing a dress or shorts. Summer, autumn, winter – no matter the season, I’ll be wearing them. And you should too! What’s not to love about them?

tips for becoming a more fashionable you miss andrada

Outfit Option Two: Office Confidence Boost

Lately I’ve been having meetings with important clients in central London (I also work in digital marketing), so under no circumstance I could be wearing my combat boots there.

For these type of meetings, I no longer plan my outfits ahead, but just open up my wardrobe since I have so well organised. One morning, I tried this dress and picked up a nicely cut blazer. Done! Without the fuss of choosing three different items. You can do it too.

miss andrada outfit in under 5 minutes

To wrap things up, having dresses on the hanger and shoes ready saves up precious time in the morning. You’d feel more organised and instantly more fashionable! When something becomes our second nature, inevitably we feel successful. Ready to feel successful? Try out my tips!

Top Time Saving Style Tip: If you have to wear make-up that day (I don’t wear make-up on a day to day basis as I often go to the gym), take it with you and just apply it at some point during the day. Least thing you want is waking up 40 minutes earlier to do your make-up. Time waste!

Accessorise with sunglasses and you’re set to go! What are you tips for feeling more fashionable on a daily basis?

Love,

Hello again girls,

How have you been? I bet you’ve been busy. We all are. All the time. Will we let us stop us from looking fabulous? Right now, I want to talk to you about a routine we as ‘the I want-to-do-it-all girls’ should all have to look and feel ‘a million dollars’ every day.

4 steps to be stylish and don’t spend 5 h getting ready

1. Use less make-up products to be ready quick

Although I really don’t wear make-up everyday as I go to the gym at lunch time, but for the days I want to wear it, I made my own 5 minute make-up routine to quickly apply it before I go to the office. All you need is 5 products and you’ll be ready in wow… 5. Try this: foundation, liquid eye-liner, mascara, natural contour kit, brow kit. Trust me, it’s all you need to look amazing. Try to limit yourself to as little products as possible to avoid the temptation to put eyeshadows at 8 o’clock in the morning just to spend 30 minutes on the make-up. Time waste..

miss andrada x notino estee double wear.jpg

2. Plan your outfits once a week

As you probably have seen in The Mindset of High Achievers – Habits for Achieving your Desired Fashion Style, you should plan your outfits once a week. In that way, you wouldn’t have to browse all your wardrobe in the morning to decide on your next one and more importantly, it will save you time on ironing in the morning. You got it! Plan & iron once a week for increased productivity.

3. Do your hair in the morning for 5 minutes

Since I have cut my bangs, I am washing them and straightening them everyday. There’s no way my hair will look good if I don’t straighten it just a little bit in the morning. Again, I only do it for 5 – 6 minutes and it looks good. I just feel better when my hair looks put together. Try this even though you don’t have bangs.

miss andrada leather jacket spring outfitt zara

4. Eat healthy

You are what you eat and the more healthy you eat, the better you will feel and the nicer you will look. Carbs and sugar can make you look fat and tired; plus they have negatives effects for your skin too. Reduce the number of carbs and sugar and you will feel amazing results. Opt for a salad in the morning, chicken & vegetables for lunch and salmon for dinner.

miss andrada healthy breakfast ideas.jpg

And this is all. Follow these 4 steps and get you looking impeccable all the time 💋 By sharing this article on Facebook, you will help me achieve my goal of improving more girls’ lives.

Hello lovelies,

How is March treating you so far? I feel like this is the busiest month for me! With loads of reports to write, attending photoshoots, having dear people over and moving houses, I feel like days are flying by. But I’m really having the best time.

If the last outfit ideas were a bit too colourful for you, I have another great option: all black. I sound so extreme now! But really, we all love an all-black outfit (except from Anna Wintour).

I love it how when I twin with someone, I get to write about two outfits in the same post, so everyone gets the most out of it. Let’s go!

Fish Net Dress, Black boots & Cat Eye Sunglasses

miss andrada all black spring timemiss andrada all black outfit.jpgmiss andrada all black outfit spring.jpg

I don’t wear loads of dresses, but honestly this dress feels like a long t-shirt. Quite cool if you think about wearing something that’s not too boy-ish but not very feminine. I feel that this approach kind of defines my style. Wear it with a pair of cat eye sunglasses though for that chic element. You can wear it during Saturday evenings while you’re out and about, but also during day time. It’s the outfit every modern woman needs actually, because it’s super cool to be able to just show up without having to change five times a day.

Black skinny jeans, Knee-high boots, Embroided Jacket, Hat & Square Sunglasses

c.jpgd.jpg

Getting some Michael Jackson vibes with this outfit. Don’t stop ‘til you get enough; it’s that empowering. Keep the other items plain, so that your jacket will stand out. I feel like wearing it during day time could be more suitable than evening time, so get your walking mood on and enjoy the day in this gorgeous outfit.

Tip: When wearing all black, add a red lipstick for that amazing contrast!

Hello lovely ladies around the world,

Happy International Women’s Day! It’s sunny outside in London today and I highly hope that Spring will settle in soon. In case you’re as excited as I am to chuck your puffer jacket in the back of your wardrobe, I’ve put together a quick (very feminine) outfit for celebrating the beginning of warmer days (fingers crossed!).

Top Favourites this season: Hair wrap, Earrings & White Shirt

One accessory that I’m into (my bestie can confirm) is a cool hair wrap!  You probably have seen this over-sized white Hugo Boss shirt in my 5 basic pieces every cool woman needs post and I can’t help but pair it with this chic burgundy Mango skirt. As there are near different details in the top part of your outfit, you want to keep your shoes classic. I went for these pair of black stilettos that I got in Primark really quick for a party, last year.
