As I was mentioning in my 2019 Peachy Spring Make-up, this Spring I’m not so into pastels. It feels too 2018 for me; you might not feel the same way and it’s really okay. I mean, we all wear whatever makes us feel awesome, but today I really want to show you ONE amazing trend that I absolutely love: MILITARY inspired clothing. Keep on reading and turn the runway into your own outfits! BE aware: this is not your usual Spring outfit.

We can see beautiful textures, worn in different combinations for this Spring. Fashion Houses such as Alberta Ferretti, Fendi and Givenchy released their military inspired collections and all I have to say is that I’m deeply in love with the concept. That’s a proper Not A Girly staple: bold & fearless. Let’s break down this trend and adapt it to our own everyday looks, shall we? 💥

Add different textures to your outfit

I realised this quite recently actually, but adding different textures can take your outfits to the next level. In the military case, you’re looking for a dress or a co-ord that can be accessorised easily. By that I mean wear a belt or jacket on top that’s made out of a different fabric.

I chose a khaki safari dress (find similar here or here) that looks amazing on tanned olive skin. There are loads of options online, you can even type ‘utility dress’ and browse from different pieces. It’s definitely a must have for Spring-Summer!

Make your outfit RUNWAY READY

It’s time to make your outfit look a lot more stylish and turn it into a wearable runway outfit. The easiest way you can do that is to put a cool jacket on top of your dress!
